  1. i don't really see why not, i would like to see somebody do it as an example
  2. i always put my gloves on last. i wouldn't recommend sliding the forearm over the gloves you may tear the guards.
  3. i think the wider ones look better myself.
  4. in case anyone is wondering, the butt and kidney are separated.
  5. not necessary. i can see the bleed marks clear enough. next time don't do such a neat job with the painting lol Approved! and fantastic job trooper congrats on being the first centurion in the USA!!!
  6. the tears and traps look stenciled to me. Tim could you please clarify this?
  7. oven cleaner i used Easy Off Fume Free for self cleaning ovens not only will it remove the paint but your helmet will smell lemony fresh DO NOT use lacquer thinner or acetone!!!! you will melt the hips
  8. best place to look is the EIB threads
  9. just donated, thanks for opening this up to everyone guys
  10. WOW! that looks sweet
  11. hi Gaz, besides the details noted above you have pretty much nailed the hero two things i can see are (as you pointed out) the ear screws, and also the ANH Heros' EI states that you must have "four rivets, snaps or Chicago screws" attaching the holster. and for the ears (as you already know) when you take your new photos with the fixes be sure to send me a PM so i don't miss the update keep up the good work trooper
  12. as you correctly pointed out AJ, 7 tracks is acceptable for EIB.. overall it is a great looking suit just a few suggestions, as pointed out the drop boxes could be re-positioned and it looks like the straps connecting the back plate to the kidney are a bit loose and are popping out slightly. lastly it is just a personal preference but i think it looks better when the belt is cut off at the end of the TD, but that's just me lol no need for a re-submit, just post a pic when you fix the boxes. Approved! great job trooper just a few minor fixes and you'll be on your way to centurion ;)
  13. don't thank me lol thank Ryan "bluehickey " on the IPM staff, he does all the EI photo magic
  14. lighting gels have a great look but need to be reinforced with a clear layer
  15. wait a second... i think he really did step out of the game!
  16. oh yea i forgot about that this does work for both polishing and CD's.. (paste with tarter control seems to work best for some reason)
  17. another EI added to the EU ranks! Approved! and fantastic job trooper!
  18. you could try to modify your leather pouch (i am modding my pouch to be closer to the game style), and a canvas pouch is fine as long as you dye it black
  19. the very talented person that made the drawings is the Wizard of Flight (WizardofFlight)he might send you a AutoCAD file or a DXF if you can get in touch with him look on the dented helmet http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/members/wizardofflight/
  20. the ammo pouch does look rather large compared too the game reference, but i will have to ask about that and get back to you. the pauldron can be smoothed by inserting curved plastic and/or relaxing the bend a bit. another thing i can see is your helmet brow trim has too much of an angle that will have to be corrected and you will need latex hand guards with black rubber gloves
  21. i cant say 100% without additional photos, but from what i can see looks like an easy pass for EI
  22. looks great! id say the shoulder pouch is strapped a bit too high but other than that it looks A++ to me. ill be looking for your EIB/centurion applications soon
  23. this may sound silly, but a trick i have used for a mirror finish is to use a piece of brown paper bag to sand. It does work. but as always, test it out first. i sand very lightly in a small circular motion
  24. i already posted on his blog
