  1. Here's a couple of mine, from the front and back. It's an MR CE. ----------

    Gas prices

$3.99 for regular, here in NC. I have a 2001 Jeep Wrangler which costs me about $65 to fill up and gets about 12mpg here in and around our small town. My wife and I are looking into trading in our 2000 Cherokee (which gets around 20.5mpg, at best) on a small car, like a Kia or Mazda. Can't afford the Honda's and Toyota's.
  3. Here is a pic of the actual helmet you receive, next to an FX. This is my buddy's helemt that told me about this link in the first place:
  4. Nice! Tim, where did you find those pads?
  5. I know there was a thread on here about taking one of those things apart, but I just cannot find it. I was thinking of trying to use the board and mic in my new MR bucket, but I need some help in modifiying the speaker pos and neg wires for the two mic tips, versus the one large speaker inside the amp. I'm not very good with electronics and wiring, so any help anyone could give would be awesome. Thank guys!!!
  6. Hi all! I haven't been on in a while, cause, well.......I confess, I've been working on my CLONE costume. Yeah, I said clone. Anyway, I wised-up and got back on my beautiful suit of white and I recently happened upon a link from a garrison-mate that featured Master Replicas CE Stormtrooper helmets for $90!! Yep, you heard right... $90!!! Anyway, I received mine today, and am very happy with it. I intend to trick it out, like my FX, with all internal fans, mic, mini-amp, etc. Plus I'm going to eventually replace the lenses. They're not as dark as my FX lenses, and I want my eyes to show through. In case no one else has already posted it, here's the link: --------- Shipping was SUPER fast! I live in NC, and it shipped from CA in 2 days! WOW! It's while supplies last, so happy hunting!!!
  7. Hi Alex, Here is a link to lenses just like I purchased: ----- They are about 1/8" thick, so they are super rigid, and very easy to see through.
  8. I used a foam liner from a skateboard helmet. Just used a Dremel to cut away the outer shell. Had to trim away the top, on the back side, to get it to fit inside the helmet, but it, at least, makes the helmet halfway comfortable to wear.
  9. Anyone ever put on the thigh and shin armor and realize you forgot the boots? Been there, done that! Never thought about putting on the belt before the chest armor, but it makes sense.
  10. I used two 3ft.-long pieces on elastic and glued each end of them to the front and back inside's of each thigh. I just criss-cross the elastic over my chest and back. I actually use suspenders for the ab and kidney setup. They are the 2"-wide AWP suspenders from Lowe's with heavy-duty clamps on the ends. just trim a small slit, on on each side at the top, of the ab plate and one on each side at the top of the kidney plate. I leave one side of the PVC pipe jacketing open and put on the plates sideways and slip the suspenders over my head. The clamps stay closed, so there's no need to ever undo them. If anyone is interested, I can take some pics this evening and post.
  11. Hi Paul! It's official! TK-9805 requesting 501st access. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember...cfm?userID=8795
  12. Hang in there Steve. I just got my approval today. It has been about a week since I submitted my application, but I also e-mailed my GML directly to make sure he got my application. This seems to help "speed up" the process a little. I'm waiting on my TK I.D. number now. Apparently that comes separately. I would e-mail the GML for your garrison directly and ask. You can get their info off the 501st website. Just go to the Garrison and Units page and scroll down till you see your garrisons name and symbol.
  13. I ordered the one from TrikToys.com. It it $56+/-. The think I really liked is that it has the zipper in the back to get in it, but it also has a "fly" zipper, so you don't have to completely undress to pee. With the way my cod-piece is attached to the abs, by two elastic strips, I can just flip it up, out of the way. The neckseal that Eric sells is also made of the same material as the suit, so when you have them both on, you don't notice the seam nearly as much.
  14. I have two, a boy and a girl. The girl is ADHD and is sometimes difficult to deal with because of her "hyperness". (Not that I love her ANY less! ) I agree with the sad situation in America as to what is and what is not allowed as discipline. If I spank either of my kids in a public place, the Social Service cops are probably going to be knocking down my door that same day! How the heck are we supposed to maintain order, when we are afraid of getting our kids taken away by the government for simply trying to teach them right from wrong? Doesn't seem to me that I turned out too badly, and my dad was a VERY strict disciplinarian. Anyways, on the guns issue, I agree that caution is the best policy. There isn't anything we can do about past happenings. The general public has been scared to death by the media and even big retailers, like Wal-Mart, have pulled any toy guns, except in rare occasions, from shelves. Face it folks, guns are not "going away", and they are certainly not going to amend the Constitution to do away with firearms ownership. We must simply keep in mind that there is a heightened sense of awareness on firearms and when we troop, we must observe courtesy to folks by making sure that they know that ours are purely props.
