1. What armor make is it? That would help.

My guess is the distance from front to back needs to be wider and distance side to side needs to be narrower.

If so, the armor can be reshaped by gently heating with a heat gun and squeezing the armor in the direction you want. You need to overshape it slightly as it will bounce back a bit.
2. Go for ATA if you're on the smaller side.
3. Very sorry to hear. Rest in peace Jenny.
4. I can post new pictures to apply for EIB and Centurion if needed, they would essentially be the same photos. I just wanted some clarity on the process.

I guess I am one of those rare cases as I got EIB with one of my first TKs. I've built multiple sets since for myself, sold the old ones etc. I had other legion costumes to keep my status "active".

My latest TK was built in 2014 but there's only a few small upgrade details needed for Centurion.
5. Thanks all. I can't find the larger size of pipe in North American sizes. I assume it's a UK or European size?

Would my TD in its current size pass Centurion? I am assuming so based on the CRL requirements, but I want to be sure.

Thanks!
6. Hi all, could I please get confirmation on my thermal det dimensions? I'm building a new one to meet Centurion standards and I found lots of text info, but not a clear diagram of the latest dimensions. I can do a graphic if that's helpful for others. Length - 7 1/2" approx. 187mm Pipe outside diameter - 2 3/8" End caps - 20mm Gaps between caps and control plate - 12mm Control plate - 122mm TD clips - The CRL says 1" but I've read threads saying 1 1/8", could someone please confirm? ---------- Thanks!
7. Just bumping this, can someone on the staff please clarify? Thanks!
8. Yes? It would help to know what you are trying to build or make.
9. Mix 50/50 alcohol and water, spray them inside and out. Put on thicker socks and wear them for the day. Easy stretch method!
10. Is the award status tied to a per costume basis? Eg: I had EIB with a previous TK, I've built a few TKs since. Does that mean I need to apply for EIB again with the new costume before applying for Centurion?
11. I don't have an Anovos kit but what I would suggest is backing the hole with a thicker piece of ABS glued from being to install the new rivet. ABS paste covering the hole won't be strong enough.
12. Avoid it. Oversized, under padded, wrong materials.
13. There will be larger gaps at the limbs and you need to check if the chest will cover the ab. In general, don't trim the width cuts until you can test fit and size things up.
14. Use a toggle bolt anchor.
15. Meguiars auto polish works fine.
16. I like to do subtle 45 degree cuts then just sand them slightly to smooth the sharper corners and call it done.

Yes, I have mine extended just a hair past the end of the armor in most spots.
17. Heat with heat gun, pry it apart with a flat chisel.
18. Congratulations Tim, all the best in your new role.
19. Could be whoever cast it used old or tainted resin (absorbs moisture over time) which causes seeping, reacting to paint.
20. Some returns deoending on the armor make are deeper or more angled in than others. There should be approx 1/2" - 5/8" return on the lower chest. Approx 1/2" on the lower arm openings tapering to less at the shoulders, and 3/8" at the neck. Again, all approximate. I find troopers tend to overtrim their returns and it doesn't make the chest look good.
21. Hi all, I wanted to clarify: is the kidney notch supposed to be over the butt / kidney seam, or should it be closest to the vertical line where the ab and kidney meet? I'm considering modding my ATA TK to pass for Centurion, but I've read 2 opposing descriptions and I lost track if there was a new thread about this. This centurion application says nearest the ab / kidney. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30490-tk-61972-requesting-anh-hero-centurion-status-ne157/#entry391164 That's confirmed by the current CRL Squared cut-out sections at the lower left and right corners of the Kidney Armor. The cut out is roughly 22 mm tall from the bottom and 22 mm in from the side. But this post says keep it near the butt plate. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35005-kidney-notch-issue/page-2#entry457647 Sorry to bring this up again. I'm not trying to be a S#^& disturber, I just want to make sure I get this right before I cut into something I can't fix. Thanks!
22. I still use suspenders in my builds. I find it actually helps with comfort and mobility but that's just my opinion. Screen used armor didn't have them but not everyone builds armor the same way. Just do what works for you.
23. Use tape to hold the strips down before you clamp them.
