  1. Troop 75 Etobicoke, Ontario December 15, 2024 Starlight Foundation /Toys R Us troop This troop is hands down the most special troop for me and this was my 3rd time doing it. Starlight Foundation teams up with Toys R Us and opens up the store 2 hours early to provide a safe and quiet place for families with disabled children to visit. Each family is given a $50 gift card to shop. We greet everyone as they come in and then wander through the store interacting with the families and children. It means so much to see the smiles on their faces.

  3. Troop #75 Glasgow children's hospital charity At The Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. Paying a special festive visit to young kids spending Christmas in hospital. Always a humbling troop seeing the bravest children raise a smile during their hardest times. A photo collage from the charity's Fb page.

  5. Yeah, definitely stringing, single layers gone bad for no apparent reason, and really ugly surfaces left by supports. I've tried several temperature settings, and with and without the enclosure open. If I figure out anything, I'll let you know.

  6. I have not been successful with PETG as yet, a lot of stringing, they say it takes practice to dial it in but it does my head in constantly testing, will get back to trying again when I have nothing on.

  7. Troop 74 London, Ontario December 13, 2024 London Children’s Hospital We set up a small display in the hospital lobby for the day to spread some Star Wars cheer. We had many visitors stop by and grab a photo and put a smile on their face. During the visit, we visited patients in the children’s day ward and the in patient ward. So many smiles and happy faces made what we do so special. These troops are the best.

  9. That's definitely the advice to follow when it comes to building an E-11. Take your time, and you'll have a perfect finish. With his advice, a lot of people are impressed that it's a 3-D print and can't tell. It's even better after I added a real metal folding stock, which added weight to it.

  10. Thanks for all of that information, it was a mouthful! It sent me down a rabbit hole a bit (which was fun), and It's good to have that historical knowledge. It looks like there's some leeway in how the blaster can be constructed, alright! I was just so impressed by Bryan's files that I started on them a little while ago. I have both a resin and a filament 3D printer (I used to work at a 3D printer company, too) so hopefully I'll be OK. I followed a link in trooper96's thread to JustJoseph's notes on sanding and finishing, and those tips seem very useful. Postprocessing is really the hard part when it comes to 3D prints. Printing itself is easy! Hoping to get some PETG prints nice and clean. So far, no luck.

  11. thank you gmrhodes13 for taking the time to 'dissect' my armor and fitment! this is exactly what I needed to focus on specific parts to get my suit on to the next level!

  12. A lot of WTF builds on the forum which have gone through similar matching issues, here's a few for reference. You will find most use abbreviated armor makers names in the title of the build threads Having a build thread is a great way of showing your progress, asking questions and getting feedback https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/ Grear thread on return edges/trimming Good luck with the build

  14. Thanks for the heads up! that's something I never thought of doing, should I wait 'till the app team mentions it? Would it pass EIB status 'as is'? I do plan on going to Centurion level so it will be done!

  15. [14] Desoto county Light garden "The circle is complete" This was the place of my first troop last year and let me tell you, It was one of the Hardest troops I've done! With the rain came low attendance, my helmet fans didn't help my vision at all ( I suspect it was because of all of the moisture in the air), one of my brand-new Hovi tips broke off, and my Dlt-19 broke. The only plus part was being with my fellow troopers although I left first. And as always, it was a pleasure trooping with the Boss. Stairs were the first obstacle to over come. Nice and slow... Ugg, the rain. Here we are looking for people😆 The boss got to hang out in the Lego tent to stay dry. Look at all that rain. That one is in the books.

  16. What you have now is a base model Hasbro/Kenner E-11, should meet base approval (depending on your GML). Doopy Doo's used to make an add on kit to make it a little more accurate BUT would only clear for base and EIB levels (depending on your GML of course). Lots of different color/versions, the last of the Disney Parks E-11's had a selector switch to go from kill to stun (different lights and sounds). Majority of E-11 builds back then (13 years ago) were Hasbro or pipe builds, no 3D printers back then (ok there were but around @$2,500 and upwards There also used to be a few others supplying resin kits back around then but unfortunately all gone now. I used to cut off the front of the barrel, fabricate an accurate one with T-tracks so it was at least the right size and LED's could be seen through it. My build thread is here (pre 3D file era) And then I had to build another E-11 for centurion standards, this was a pipe build with Doopy Doo's add on's (they also did a full resin kit) and some hand made pieces. Build here I did find some 3D files to add a little more detail to the blaster which I posted here: There are some really great Hasbro upgrade/conversion build threads on the forum and worth having a dig through some of them, was always amazing to see how so many builds were a little different from others and quirky additions some people added You will have no issues using Bryan's files for EIB or Centurion, he put countless hours into those files and a lot of detail work, even a working trigger for electronics. Biggest thing is not to leave any print lines, prep work is definitely the key to any printed prop, hurts my brain every time I see printed props with no sanding or filling, hey but that's just me. Bryan has some images in this thread Zeroroom (who I never got to meet as he retired) came up with some great templates for a scratch build E-11, I'll have to remember to upgrade his watermarked images, stupid Photobucket

"The Music Help" (lazily translated from Swedish to English) is an annual charity event that is a live TV broadcast! For one week, three presenters are locked inside a "cage" where they only eat soup and take turns in presenting so that there is coverage 24/7 for a week. Swedish national television and radio collaborate to send out the broadcast on both mediums. The way it works, is that people donate X amount of money to get a song of their choice played live. There are multiple Swedish artists that perform inside the cage and people auctioning off items or artworks and the like. This year's charity theme was: "Everyone has the right to survive their pregnancy", and the money that was donated will go towards different projects that will reduce the amount of deaths during a pregnancy and delivery. Every two seconds, someone dies during their pregnancy/delivery - and 70% out of all the deaths happen in Africa, and we know what the solution is, so summed up most of the deaths are because of the lack of money. So, what is our role in this? We are outside the cage, dancing, giving high fives, spreading Star Wars love and we're collecting money for this charity event as we've done now for 12 years in a row. Dare I say we've become "famous" because of it, and are expected by the citizens to show up - and the pure love that we receive outside the cage is incredible and it really shows. We've received so many hugs and donations and my heart is filled with peace and love. 76. 2023-12-12, Musikhjälpen 2024 (The Music Help), Sundsvall (Hero) Someone caught us on TV the first night! We had a late start due to travelling 4 hours north from Stockholm, to Sundsvall. Some of our members had travelled for 6 hours (and they drove south, crazy to realize how big my own country really is). 77. 2023-12-13, Musikhjälpen 2024 (The Music Help), Sundsvall (Hero) 78. 2023-12-14, Musikhjälpen 2024 (The Music Help), Sundsvall (Hero) The day started out... well... I was hyped and ready to go out, or so I thought. I had forgotten a crucial detail! Here you see me as I realize it! This has never happened for 78 troops, but my 79th troop... disaster struck! I had just taken everything on and had to take most of it just to take it on again! So annoying!!! We were invited into the cage for an interview, and to push our initiative (there are multiple initiatives where people send money to, and the Swedish Garrison had one too) - I was not one of the people inside the cage, but we stood outside in the front row to cheer them on! @Coil was the Din Djarin. 79. 2023-12-15, Musikhjälpen 2024 (The Music Help), Sundsvall (Hero) I'm as I said filled with joy, and we've done an amazing job. As you might have seen - we opt for not wearing our TDs, because we are out in public and the cage being situated in a square in the city (a different city for every year of the event), it gets really crowded! I think someone got their TD stolen once and since then we tend to take the safest option and just simply not wear it (although I feel brave sometimes). It is a non-cannon event anyways so it is acceptable. We've been outside in negative celsius for four days, trooping about 5-6 hours every day, and I can tell you - the condensation inside the helmet is insane! We always need to pack our helmets with paper tissues to soak up the water that builds up, especially on the inside of the pertruding edges that goes around the mic tips. I'm sore in every part of my body because of the constant dancing for hours! But I close off this year of trooping with an amazing event on my resume, and this year's total was: 38 troops! Until next time! Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!
