"The Music Help" (lazily translated from Swedish to English) is an annual charity event that is a live TV broadcast! For one week, three presenters are locked inside a "cage" where they only eat soup and take turns in presenting so that there is coverage 24/7 for a week. Swedish national television and radio collaborate to send out the broadcast on both mediums. The way it works, is that people donate X amount of money to get a song of their choice played live. There are multiple Swedish artists that perform inside the cage and people auctioning off items or artworks and the like. This year's charity theme was: "Everyone has the right to survive their pregnancy", and the money that was donated will go towards different projects that will reduce the amount of deaths during a pregnancy and delivery. Every two seconds, someone dies during their pregnancy/delivery - and 70% out of all the deaths happen in Africa, and we know what the solution is, so summed up most of the deaths are because of the lack of money. So, what is our role in this? We are outside the cage, dancing, giving high fives, spreading Star Wars love and we're collecting money for this charity event as we've done now for 12 years in a row. Dare I say we've become "famous" because of it, and are expected by the citizens to show up - and the pure love that we receive outside the cage is incredible and it really shows. We've received so many hugs and donations and my heart is filled with peace and love. 76. 2023-12-12, Musikhjälpen 2024 (The Music Help), Sundsvall (Hero) Someone caught us on TV the first night! We had a late start due to travelling 4 hours north from Stockholm, to Sundsvall. Some of our members had travelled for 6 hours (and they drove south, crazy to realize how big my own country really is). 77. 2023-12-13, Musikhjälpen 2024 (The Music Help), Sundsvall (Hero) 78. 2023-12-14, Musikhjälpen 2024 (The Music Help), Sundsvall (Hero) The day started out... well... I was hyped and ready to go out, or so I thought. I had forgotten a crucial detail! Here you see me as I realize it! This has never happened for 78 troops, but my 79th troop... disaster struck! I had just taken everything on and had to take most of it just to take it on again! So annoying!!! We were invited into the cage for an interview, and to push our initiative (there are multiple initiatives where people send money to, and the Swedish Garrison had one too) - I was not one of the people inside the cage, but we stood outside in the front row to cheer them on! @Coil was the Din Djarin. 79. 2023-12-15, Musikhjälpen 2024 (The Music Help), Sundsvall (Hero) I'm as I said filled with joy, and we've done an amazing job. As you might have seen - we opt for not wearing our TDs, because we are out in public and the cage being situated in a square in the city (a different city for every year of the event), it gets really crowded! I think someone got their TD stolen once and since then we tend to take the safest option and just simply not wear it (although I feel brave sometimes). It is a non-cannon event anyways so it is acceptable. We've been outside in negative celsius for four days, trooping about 5-6 hours every day, and I can tell you - the condensation inside the helmet is insane! We always need to pack our helmets with paper tissues to soak up the water that builds up, especially on the inside of the pertruding edges that goes around the mic tips. I'm sore in every part of my body because of the constant dancing for hours! But I close off this year of trooping with an amazing event on my resume, and this year's total was: 38 troops! Until next time! Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

  3. Hi Team, Please find below my request to be approved to Centurion for my ANH Stunt kit from WTF. It was only a few mm thick for comfort, but I do have a long neck, hence why it sits high. Tube Stripes: These are pencil width from the cheek. I’m not sure if the WTF kit has a softer angle or if there was some glare, but it’s definitely within 5-6mm of the cheeks and were placed with a pencil as a guide. Forearms scaled to wearer: I cut and shut both forearms. They fit and look much better now. I can only just get my hands through the openings, but it was worth it for the cleaner look. AB Plate painting: AB Plates have both been replaced and repainted. No return edge on small plate. Belt Positioning: Raised slightly to sit correctly TD Dimensions: Thermal Detonator has been cut down and repainted to meet specifications. No gap between the abdomen and kidney armour: Plates now touch. Drop Box Height: Elastic slightly stretched to give slight gap from bottom of belt Latex Hand Guards: A local member (Kris Hase – Knightfall Garrison) kindly manufactured and painted a set for me. These have been glued onto the correct black rubber gloves. Blaster touch up: Repainted and better images taken to reduce glare. Full Body: Front - Arms flat by side, no weapon Back – Arms flat by side (Shoulder bridges have been replaced and rear tabs removed) LHS RHS LHS Arm raised RHS Arm raised Action Shot Armor Details: Cod & Posterior Plate connections Shoulder Bridges Thigh Ammo Belt with Bifurcated rivets Sniper Knee Plate Wrist Openings Ab plates = Replaced and repainted Interior Strapping Split Rivet Side Connection Han Snap Helmet Details: Front Left Right – Please note, I’ve moved the Right Ear as far back as is possible. The previous owner drilled holes in the wrong position and damaged the helmet. The rear line of the lower section of the ear does follow the angle of the rear trap. I’m not 100% happy about this, but have tried and am unable to fix it unfortunately. The left ear is in the correct position and they do look symmetrical from the front and rear, thankfully. https://imgur.com/a/6u8GBBF Back Hovi Tips S-Trim Lenses Accessories: Neck Seal TD (Now trimmed down to correct length/proportions) Holster Attachment ABS / Canvas Belt Boots Rubber Gloves & Latex Handguards Blaster Details: Left Side Right Side D-Ring https://imgur.com/a/84BHgyZ If there's any other details/photos required, please let me know. Many thanks, Chris Here's some progress shots from me addressing the fixes from my EIB application

  6. Thanks so much, Glen! Always appreciate the feedback. I made the very silly mistake of taking these photos today - a 43 degree (Celsius) day in Melbourne and my beloved photographer (wife) wasn't overly patient, so some of the pics were rushed. I think I edited most of the photobombing pics with my dog in the background, but had fixed a couple of those things in between takes - belt holding my thigh armour had come undone (easy fix) and I fixed the brow lump, but they didn't make the final cut. I have got V-tabs on the butt plate. They did make a big improvement, but not sure I can bring it any further in. It does sit a lot better/pretty close now. I'll adjust the strapping and see if that helps. The elastic on the drop boxes was the closest I could track down. It'd be within a couple of mm at most, so hopefully that's approvable. The drop boxes usually sit at the very edge, but can shuffle along sometimes. I probably have a photo of them sitting better/as they usually do. That was probably just me rushing/sweating, but the EIB pics confirm they should comply. The tube stripes were a pain when I applied them (all as one strip). My kit is an older WTF kit and is the 'lumpy-bumpy' variant, so I don't think that helped my case with the spacings, as it was basically impossible to conform at all points. I'll see if I can push those end caps down on the TD a few more mm. They are SO TIGHT - I hope I don't wreck them! Otherwise I'll see if i can slice a few mm off the centre plate and touch up the paint. I'll play around with my belt and get it sitting straighter. I will reposition that button cover. There is a good chance the whole belt was tilted by my wife when I was getting her to adjust the TD. Might have changed the angle, but I'll see if I can make it better. I do find it difficult to get it flat and square, while still sitting on/touching the AB plate. Not sure if it's the moulding, but that tends to leave a bit of a weird gap either side of the AB plate. Let me see what I can do. I'm pretty sure the lighting is causing those issues on the E-11 as there's no print lines visible in those spots highlighted - possibly brush lines from the weathering I did. The Hengstler Counter has a LOT of layers of paint and there might have been a couple of residual lines/odd layers. I'll give it a bit of a sand and spray. Thanks again for the feedback - I'll update my pics as I fix a few of these issues and hope for a cooler day for a reshoot! Cheers, Chris

  7. [14] Desoto county Light garden "The circle is complete" This was the place of my first troop last year and let me tell you, It was one of the Hardest troops I've done! With the rain came low attendance, my helmet fans didn't help my vision at all ( I suspect it was because of all of the moisture in the air), one of my brand-new Hovi tips broke off, and my Dlt-19 broke. The only plus part was being with my fellow troopers although I left first. And as always, it was a pleasure trooping with the Boss. Stairs were the first obstacle to over come. Nice and slow... Ugg, the rain. Here we are looking for people😆 The boss got to hang out in the Lego tent to stay dry. Look at all that rain. That one is in the books.

  8. Some nice fixes there, just before the DO's come along there are a couple of things you could address to really make your application stand out, please note these are just suggestions and the DO's may or may not require any of them Belt is sitting on and angle, looks like it was missed in your EIB application, you may need an to straighten Centurion EIB Drop box not quite aligned with the end of the plastic belt, it was actually better in your EIB application. Left side button cover is on an angle. You may also want to add some tighter strapping or some V tabs behind your posterior to kidney, notice it is sticking out on the side. V There is also some belt/elastic showing between the cod and thigh on your left side. Centurion EIB With a heat gun or oven you bend strips of ABS plastic into the shape of a V, only glue one side and the other remains free to allow movement when you bend. Just helps stop the butt plate from pushing back from the back plate. Although size is not mentioned in the CRL your drop box elastic is a little wide Although your TD is a better length the gaps are still a little small between your endcaps and control panel, should be @ 1/2" (13mm) Looks like it's the curve of your tube stripes which doesn't follow the cheek giving the uneven appearance, nice gap in the middle but further on the ends. But by the CRL these are: Ideally, the tube stripes are positioned approximately a pencil width from the side of the cheek not must be You could remove the bump int he brow trim Could be lighting or a different angle but some 3D print lines can be seen, Hengstler stand out the most Once again these are just suggestions, the DO's may or may not require any of these changes. Good luck with approval

  10. What you have now is a base model Hasbro/Kenner E-11, should meet base approval (depending on your GML). Doopy Doo's used to make an add on kit to make it a little more accurate BUT would only clear for base and EIB levels (depending on your GML of course). Lots of different color/versions, the last of the Disney Parks E-11's had a selector switch to go from kill to stun (different lights and sounds). Majority of E-11 builds back then (13 years ago) were Hasbro or pipe builds, no 3D printers back then (ok there were but around @$2,500 and upwards There also used to be a few others supplying resin kits back around then but unfortunately all gone now. I used to cut off the front of the barrel, fabricate an accurate one with T-tracks so it was at least the right size and LED's could be seen through it. My build thread is here (pre 3D file era) And then I had to build another E-11 for centurion standards, this was a pipe build with Doopy Doo's add on's (they also did a full resin kit) and some hand made pieces. Build here I did find some 3D files to add a little more detail to the blaster which I posted here: There are some really great Hasbro upgrade/conversion build threads on the forum and worth having a dig through some of them, was always amazing to see how so many builds were a little different from others and quirky additions some people added You will have no issues using Bryan's files for EIB or Centurion, he put countless hours into those files and a lot of detail work, even a working trigger for electronics. Biggest thing is not to leave any print lines, prep work is definitely the key to any printed prop, hurts my brain every time I see printed props with no sanding or filling, hey but that's just me. Bryan has some images in this thread Zeroroom (who I never got to meet as he retired) came up with some great templates for a scratch build E-11, I'll have to remember to upgrade his watermarked images, stupid Photobucket

  12. I love the velcro inside your suit! It makes adjustments quite easy unlike mine where I would have to make new straps with line 24 snaps to do any adjusting.

It is a lovely nerdy market that happens every year! The turnout on the Saturday was great, and a little more relaxed on the Sunday! Absolutely lovely! I received my Grappling Hook/Comlink set from Joseph finally after a 9 month wait (the package had been in transit for 9 months, crossing the atlantic sea about 3 times for some reason ), so I really had to use it for these couple of troops! Such an awesome thing to have! Close up! Me and @Lafleur in the changing room Quite a nice turnout for this event! We're usually 2 or 3 people! We had a large Lucia parade (or "train" as we say in Swedish), it is an old tradition in Sweden! @Lafleur had a funny E-11 blaster toy for the Lucia parade! 75. 2024-12-01, Nördarnas Julmarknad 2024 (The Nerds' Christmas Market), Stockholm (Hero, with Grappling Hook/Comlink) We dropped a Santa hat on the floor, and we realized that we were alone and no one could bend down to pick it up, luckily my handy dandy Grappling Hook could be of assistance!! Finally got it! Christmas vibes brought to you by the grappling hook! December has only just begun and I've already been sent to Whamhalla!

Just so much happiness in an environment not necessarily associated with that! I taught them a little bit about how to solve a Rubiks cube! (my record is 23 seconds, but I'm working on it to get down to under 10)
