  2. Sorry they broke! Part of my post troop is looking for cracks and filling them with super glue soaked cloth. I had an entire shoulder bridge snap off once. Just part of the experience I guess

  3. It is. The draft CRL should match the R1 CRL iirc. Well bar the gold and cracking.

  6. You may wish make a few adjustments before the DO's begin reviewing. Front forearms trim all the return (L3 centurion) No lower edge/plate on large ab plate, this can be fixed by cutting a plate slightly larger, glue on to large ab plate, then fill join with ABS paste, sand and polish. Also trim smaller ab plate Your gaps are too small, look at the gap between endcaps and control panel, the control panel is too wide. The total length is approximately 7.50" (190.5mm Side rivets are not in alignment abdomen to kidney (L3 centurion issue)

  7. Would this work? I drew it like it's seen from above Plate Velcro strip Direction The blue arrow would indicate that it could go flush with the left side! Some velcro strip on the backside of the printed seam on the left (which it looks like you have already?) If you are able to bend it a bit it should be able to close up! If you don't want to have a strip going all the way along the right side then maybe a small portion in the top and one in the bottom (where it is the most bendable)

  8. yeah i tried that to when i did it there was a gap like 3-4 mm and you can see velcro. i just got home from hardware store with some stuff i must try

  10. Looking great! Not a DO or anything here but if I may I had a question regarding the power cylinders coils. For EIB are they an optional accessory to the E11? They look great but I was just reading here that they may have only been seen in the "bapty" promotional version of the blaster

  12. Thank you! While I do have the black rubber gloves, it looks like I will be ordering the latex ones. Do I apply for EIB first and then same packet for Centurion? or can I do both at the same time?

  13. Time to hit @ukswrath up for new Hovi tips. After 13 troops, I opened my helmet bag and found a cracked Hovi tip. Honestly, I figured it would of happened sooner. I'm not the best at packing my kit up. I do it different everytime. Time to bust out the superglue until the new one comes in. Also need to clean my gum line up. At this angle I can see the grey is touching the gums. Ugg! so many projects to do! I wish I could find the missing piece. Regular folks won't be able to tell, so I should be okay until they get here.

  15. Hi Mario - I've done some work on my E-11. Filled, sanded and repainted the sections showing 3D printing lines. I also followed some advice from a local garrison member and replaced the 3D printed D-ring with a link from a chain, that matches the overall dimensions perfectly (bonus point - it was already black!). I plan to do a tiny bit more weathering to disguise some imperfections, but wanted to show it in the fixed state. If there's any other pics/angles you need, please let me know. Thanks again.

  16. Hi Daniel, and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Congratulations Daniel! Amazing armor, we can see that all the details have been taken care of. Just a couple of suggestions to make you look definitely stunning. -The helmet is a little high. Maybe you can remove some of the padding inside to lower it a bit. Reference Images -The CRL states "Ideally, placement of ears (and screws) should closely follow the rear angle of the trap above them". Your left side is perfect. The right side could be improved a bit, but since it doesn't make the helmet look "ugly", we leave it as we always do in these cases, as a suggestion. Reference Images Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. A couple of fixes here and you're ready to go. -The vocoder is almost perfect, but maybe you can define the lines a little more to make it look perfect. Reference Images -L3. The blaster may have minor weathering or base metal exposure however, T-tracks and grips shall be of a black plastic appearance with no silver/metallic weathering allowed. A little black paint and 5 minutes will do the trick. Reference Images And that's all Daniel. Congratulations! Don't forget to request your certificate HERE

December 2024, 05.00 PM STORMTROOPER HELMET ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, 2016 Lucasfilm, USA Vinyl 30.5 × 28 × 33 cm Provenance: - Directly from a crew member - US private collection - Swiss private collection Presented here is screen-worn Stormtrooper helmet from ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’. Production-made and featured in the film, this iconic helmet was crafted from cast white vinyl, taking its cues from the original Star Wars ‘A New Hope’ from 1977. ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ is a thrilling stand-alone film set in the Star Wars universe, bridging the gap between the prequel trilogy and the original ‘A New Hope’. The movie follows a group of unlikely heroes, led by Jyn Erso, who embark on a daring mission to steal the plans for the Empire’s superweapon, the Death Star. Unlike other films in the saga, ‘Rogue One’ explores the gritty reality of war, showcasing the sacrifices made by ordinary people for the greater good. With its stunning visuals, memorable characters, and high-stakes storyline, ‘Rogue One’ delivers a powerful tale of hope and rebellion. The interior features foam padding for comfort, along with a black webbing strap to secure the helmet during filming. This helmet is a direct link to the fearsome soldiers of the Empire, prominently seen throughout ‘Rogue One’, especially aboard Darth Vader’s dreaded Death Star. This is an extraordinary opportunity for collectors and fans alike to own a genuine piece of cinema history. The helmet exhibits minor production wear but is in very good to fine condition. We have thoroughly verified the authenticity of this Rogue One Stormtrooper helmet by consulting with three highly respected collectors in the field. Interested parties will be provided with detailed information from these experts. Additionally, the interior padding, soft materials used for wearer protection, and a specific sticker are all consistent with other known authentic examples.

This has become my primary focus and ensuring the site remains reliable will become a key issue for the rest of the term. A number of years ago the then team was looking into hosting and the result was we ended up on hosting owned and managed by the Legion web team. This was great for us at the time as the Legion was covering the cost. But all good things must end, and this arrangement was only ever meant to be temporary. The recent issues have highlighted we've aged out of our current platform and could use an upgrade. I have been working with the Legion team to get an idea of what we need to do and how we might go about doing this. There are a few options but as things become more concrete we will let you all know. Hopefully this will move quickly once we get started and it would be great to have this in place before the election season kicks off in the new year. On a more cheerful note, the Sheild logo challenge coins have been landing on doorsteps all over the world. It's been great to see these and seeing what people think of them. The team worked hard on these to make something we are proud of. Thanks to the team for the design work, quoting, production and then also all of you who are now receiving them and sending them on to troopers. At certain times of the year this embargo is lifted, generally around Blu-Ray / movie releases, May 4th and Force Friday, the recent correspondence from LFL outlines the lift of the embargo: Lucasfilm has informed LEC that the retail moratorium is being lifted December 1-31 at retailers selling Star Wars Related merchandise for the holiday season. All fans, costumed or otherwise, can participate with venues of their choice within this window with the restriction that costumed appearances must not be used in the advertising for the event. Although these appearances will be treated like an open invite, we’ll leave it to the fan groups to independently organize around these events as they see fit. LFL will not need to approve or coordinate these. Please note that retail locations should not include restaurants, bars, or venues with no apparent reason to feature Star Wars characters. In the coming weeks, we may send out a list of ‘preferred’ retailers from certain regions who would welcome fans to participate at their venues within these event windows, but you are all still welcome to make plans with appropriate retailers or venue hosts of your choice regardless of whether or not they appear on the list. With Unquestioned Loyalty Jonatan Östling TK-23592 "Nairy" Attaché Ambassador Master Armorer Program - 2024 Relaunch FISD has many wonderful programs to help members build and submit costumes for our detachment, whether it be a classic Stormtrooper, a First Order Stormtrooper, or even one of the new Imperial Armored Commandos. While our Expect Infantry and Centurion programs get most of the attention, FISD staff wants to relaunch the Armorer Program (Currently called the Master Armorer Program). What is the Armorer Program you ask? Well, it is a program designed to recognize those troopers that go above and beyond to assist themselves and others in getting costumes built, submitted, and approved. One of the goals of all the detachments in the 501st Legion is to help members build and submit costumes that meet and hopefully exceed the minimum requirements of the Legion’s CRLs. Currently the Master Armorer program has the requirement of helping a minimum of 5 members achieve Expert Infantry status. The member must have spent at least 30min physically helping another member with cutting, gluing, sizing, etc, just because they want to help (no money exchanged). The definition of an armorer is “a maker, supplier, or repairer of weapons or armor”. So while we certainly love the feedback that members provide to others on the forums, and the extra steps some do by having video calls to help walk people through issues with their builds, this program requires hands on work. The new program will have the same physical help requirement, but we are going to move from a “wins” system, (where a win was help an individual for 30 min or more) to a points system, and we aren’t limiting it to only Expert Infantry builds. While we are pushing the Advance to 1500 to try and achieve 1500 Expert Infantry members, we recognize that the goal of the detachment is to get FISD members build, submitted, and approved. So we will be awarding points for Basic builds as well. Currently there are 3 levels of the award, FISD Armorer, FISD Senior Armorer and FISD Master Armorer. The new program will add a 4th level at the beginning called the Apprentice Armorer. The point scale will be as follows. 5 points - Apprentice Armorer 10 points - Armorer 20 points - Senior Armorer 30 points - Master Armorer The Armorer candidate would earn points based on what level the member costume they assisted with achieved. If you help with a basic build, you get 1 point, if you help with a EIB build you get 2 points. So a person to basic you get a point, help them again to get their EIB earning another 2 to a total of 3. The thought again here is that we want to help build as many stormtroopers as possible. If you love building armorer and love helping fellow members get their costumes built, then this is the program you’ve been searching for. We look forward to awarding more members with this award as we know how much we all love Troopers helping Troopers. More information can be found here Armorer Rocker Patches Rocker patches are now available for the Armorer Program, there is currently just the one patch, and members are eligible to receive two of them once they reach Level 2, "Armorer". More information can be found here Want to setup a "Fire Team? the Fire Team program is completely optional, and is intended to help form a common identity and spirit of camaraderie among 501st Legion Stormtroopers in the same geographic area/garrison that troop together. Fire Teams are not officially recognized by the 501st Legion nor the FISD, although they will be able to access a Fire Team sub-forum on the detachment website. You can find more information here. For those interested here is the original discussion on the creation of Fire teams here With Unquestioned Loyalty Mark Ryner TK-4584 "captsafe66" Fire Team Relations So what exactly are and levels? These programs were designed for those who choose to take their armor above and beyond the minimum requirements for basic 501st Legion approval. It gives you the chance to show a level of dedication and pride that takes your armor closer to being as "screen accurate" as possible, without as much extra work as you may realize! You can find more information on the programs here. For those unaware it is possible to achieve extra awards at Expert Infantry for each additional version costume you have approved, additional awards are not issued with another Expert Infantry number (you are only issued 1 Expert Infantry number) but you will see a star above the award on your profile and the thread title will show [APPROVED] 2nd, [APPROVED] 3rd, [APPROVED] 4th and so on. Multiple EIB award recipients and info here NOTE If you are approved with a "2nd Version" of a particular costume that you are already approved with you do not receive an additional award, there is only 1 award issued for each costume version ie: only 1 x Hero, 1 x Stunt, 1 x HWT, 1 x ESB, 1 x TFA and so on. If you have a second/additional version costume approved you will see "2nd Version" and [APPROVED] added to the thread title, no additional profile stars (more info on profile awards here) For those of you who have a particular issue (or issues) before or after submitting for Expert Infantry / Centurion level approval, in order to get you an answer faster you can now privately contact the entire Deployment Officer team at one time! Questions about fitting, repairs, CRL standards/requirements or anything pertaining to reaching Levels 2 and 3 are not only welcomed, but encouraged. Keep in mind that no question is too small, and that your queries will only be seen by the D.O. Staff. We are here to help in any way we can, so please feel free to send us a message by clicking on this link: @Deployment Officer Team and we will get back to you A.S.A.P.! 20. Hey, still on that progress, sadly still waiting on getting my shoes fixes by a local shoe maker as I had some problems with them. In other terms I already fixed everything including new handles for the blaster, so it shouldn't take too long anymore as I was already pretty pleased with most of my built. Updates will follow on my build thread as soon as I got more progress. Badly I haven't gotten any pictures of the photo shoots I did back in speyer so all I got are some semi-grade smartphone pictures.

  21. Hi all future Captain Enochs. We are still looking for a CRL model. A member was working with us but unfortunately they have been hit with Darth Life and have much more important things to look after. We have seen a number of great builds here, if you are one of them and have a finished build please do get into contact. Please note as this will be the CRL model we will be paying close attention to not only the general build but also key things like 3D print lines and fit to the member in question. It would be amazing to get this CRL completed before the end of the term.

Very nice, just watch what images you use as close up's, especially for higher level approval OR do a little more sanding, a few areas 3D print lines can still be seen For L2 EIB 3-D printed blasters can not contain visible print lines, and must be sanded smooth for a more realistic appearance.
