Greeting all, Calling all attaches and approved 501st Stormtrooper members Last year, we launched a new campaign to further grow our ranks of Expert Infantry troopers. Advance to 1500! Link for the newsletter launch: March FISD Newsletter Advance to 1500 launch What is Expert Infantry you ask? Well, putting it simply, it's making some tweaks and minor additions or changes to your armour, edging closer to screen accuracy. Now EI as we call it, was introduced back in the day when we had very few vendors, and the armour itself wasn't as accurate as the superb level of kits we have available today. It was designed to make those kits, and FX specifically, look a little better. This tradition carried on, and over time it has become easier to build your armour to the EI level, with vendors making improvements and in some cases making easily available the little extra bits that make the difference. This is perfect for anyone joining the 501st and wanting a touch more authenticity without spending much more on achieving it. By its very design, EI was made to be easily achievable and low cost. A few years back, we developed a program called "March to 1000", the aim to hit 1000 troopers approved at EI level. We had a supportive merch run along the way, and achieved the 1000 mark a couple of years ago now, celebrating with a very special piece of merch many will remember for the Victory 1000. Now back to "Advance to 1500"....... Back in the March 23 newsletter, I mentioned we would have some incentives along the way to help us all sing the virtues of Expert infantry level, assist new and existing members to take on the easy challenge of building to, or upgrading their armour, and gain some more momentum. We also relaunched a new and improved Armorers award program in the slow build up of momentum towards our 1500 target. Well fellow troopers, the time is coming close to releasing our first real push with a special piece of merch that will help us get the word out on Advance to 1500. A talking piece, something many may find both cool and useful. I might now have your attention if you are reading this, but we are not quite ready to let you know what this item is yet, but we promise to announce it very soon. Come help us support fellow and new members in the endeavor to reach the goal of 1500 proud and approved Expert Infantry rank troopers. Here is a little teaser to spark your interest with more to come. And don't forget4 points

62. 2024-09-27, Bokmässan Göteborg 2024 (Gothenburg Book Fair), Göteborg (Hero) 63. 2024-09-28, Bokmässan Göteborg 2024 (Gothenburg Book Fair), Göteborg (Hero) 64. 2024-09-29, Bokmässan Göteborg 2024 (Gothenburg Book Fair), Göteborg (Hero) Update! We attended Sweden's by far largest convention! The Gothenburg Book Fair attracts a lot of famous people and from all over the country, and we're breaking new ground here by showing up here where we met people we wouldn't normally get to meet, since this isn't a Sci-fi convention or anything like that. The reception from the people at the fair was amazing, and we could tell that it was most of the people's first time seeing Stormtroopers in real life! Normal and famous people alike, they acted like children around us and donated a lot of money to our cause, which was the Children's Cancer Fund! We stood on the space stage, where they blasted Imperial March in the speakers! I had a little private spot all to myself in the dressing room Peek-a-boo I surprised our trooper @TK 17229 that had been there the day before I arrived! Reunited! Watching our Swedish astronaut Marcus Wandt on the space stage Of course he got to meet some real space people! He has joined the dark side, he'll do anything to get back into space! We got arrested, apparently - Empire laws don't apply on this planet... We had a new recruit to the Emperor's cause! Arresting famous people is awesome! This guy was a children's television show host for 20 years and is like Sweden's sweetheart! Me and @TK 17229 I'm not in the following picture, as I stood guard at the other side of the room, but we had this hilarious segment. A loud reading by Chewie, and then interpreted by Luke, so that the children could understand what the story was about! It was a story inspired from other children's stories that a member had cooked up which we called "Three Little Troopers". It was a huge success and extremely fun to be a part of!3 points

Hi, back from vacation! Here are the pics of the red lights in low ambient light conditions. The LED lights do interfere with the CCD camera sensors and the pictures are not representative of what the eye sees. In real, the lights are a pure RED (I used red LEDs for all lights except the jetpack for which I used a diffuse white LED and in front on them, I used red tinted clear plastic so that it still looks red if powered off, thus the only light emitted is red ), there is not yellow/white tint as the pictures tends to show when the CCD gets saturated. I tried my best to take a couple of light conditions with reflections that show how bright they are. They are clearly visible in daylight. N.B., the chest light is not mentioned in the CRL, but it should be included in the level 3 reference. Overall pictures of all the lights together. Zoom in on each component3 points

Let's gooooo! So happy to see another Rogue One/New Era style build of this high of a caliber come across the boards! I've been following along closely and this is one of the most well built and accurate suits I've seen in a hot minute and Mike has done exactly what I would, and plan to, do to refresh my ROTK kit. Best of luck, @MikeRadnessbut this should sail through and be a fantastic example for others1 point

Btw, I think one of the reasons it looks like you could do with putting the forearms a bit further down, is because your handplates are far down on the glove itself! I would start with trying to reposition the hand plates further up the glove! The arrows in my image just indicate the direction I'd move them, not any exact position!1 point
