  1. Here is the complete build thread from my armor which is now the CRL reference. Below are the images of the final build along with individual parts in high definition so you can capture the details. In the next threads below, I will explain how I did end up with this final result. I will also try to share the tips and tricks for you guys to make your life easier. I based all the design and parts on the reference document I have put together (you can find it in the reference section in my post). Here's the build vendors I used : - Boots from Crowprops - Leather gloves from Crowprops - Abs section made out of urethane foam rubber molded, per screen reference. I designed the mold and it is available on Etsy MillenniumMaker Etsy Link - Suit from Keeptrooping, tailored and internal elbow stitches removed per CRL requirement. - The hard armor is mostly parts I designed myself, as current vendors were not accurate enough to meet all screen accuracy to a CRL level and most importantly not designed for trooping). A few other parts are from Big Fred Custom (only vendor that was accurate/ very close). I have/will continue to place my designed parts on Etsy (MillenniumMaker Etsy Link ). more details in sections below. I do this mostly for fun so be patient to have 501st / CRL grade armor. I intend to have the full armor designed and offered in the upcoming weeks on Esty, PM me if you need them sooner. Soft goods made by my girlfriend (MW11271)- belt and holster, velcros, harness,...!) I have posted the build process of these parts in the following threads. I will show how everything was printed/ prepared, painted, assembled. Goal is to provide you info on how to build a suit that is designed by a guy who knows the pain of wearing the armor (my Sithtrooper is a though one to troop... ) Front top to bottom:

  2. Trimmed the middle panel a bit more to emphasize the triangular shape of the gap, good call. More pics after another coat of red. Been working on the center connector and cut new pieces after templating based off the old one, but increased the gaps and it is more consistently symmetrical. Mixed up some leather paint but needed to darken up the available grey. It dried lighter than I'd like so I may do another coat with more black mixed in. And laid out, almost completed.

  3. Once again should be good for base level, for L2 and above I would suggest just a tiny bit more removal, just off the gum line, you can see on the curved areas between tooth and gum. It may just be the angle of the photo but just check

  4. *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* Mandalorian & Grogu Trailer A little blurry but watchable, I'm liking the AT-MSE (all terrain mouse droid) and great to see some recognizable troopers (although no doubt reworked) As many of these clips have been taken down I've uploaded several to Google Drive, link here If anyone has a better copy please post or send me pm

  5. Seriously, what a crazy ride this has been. I was 65 lbs heavier when I started this. Last year, when I received my big brown box (in addition to another one due to some issues I won’t get into), I unfortunately, in the midst of cutting, gluing, measuring, realized that I wasn’t going to fit into this thing without some serious modification. Despite my armor (AM) being a choice for larger troopers, I was still having issues. The ab and kidney didn’t meet. I couldn’t close the thighs in the back. I was by no means morbidly obese or anything, but I was just too big. Sure, there are shims. ABS paste. Ways to make it work. But starting this build was eye-opening for me. If I was willing to put all of this time, money, and energy—the blood, the sweat, the tears—into building screen-accurate space soldier armor, what’s stopping me from losing weight? Getting healthy? I was happy to throw down 2 hours of build time a night, but not 30 minutes to take a walk? It was time to change. So I put my build on hold. If you look at my build topic, sparse as it is—the updates simply stopped. And during that time, I made some big changes. And the weight started coming off. If I was going to go to lengths to be a stormtrooper, to make 7-year-old me proud, I was going to do it right. And I did. A little over a month ago I attended a build party. I met some great people, laughed, had a great time. I made friends. I had a new surge of confidence. And so I continued the build. So here it is. Complete, approved, and already in a ton of pictures with people from Grand Rapids Comic Con. No shims, no ABS paste. I made it work. And now I’m finally thin, to boot. So, I want to thank everyone here, for the fantastic community, the resources, the help, the encouragement. It’s fantastic that despite how terrible things get, we still have people looking out for us. And I hope to meet all of you and troop with you some day. Special thanks to Eric Dyck, Steph Mortimer, Weylyn Kelley, Craig Hobbs, and my wife, for all their help and encouragement. Thanks everyone!
