  2. Me and @Coil finally started painting the 3d print that I got from the people who did my scan! All the shadows as you see them are painted on! Gonna look awesome when it is done!

  4. I almost was done with my anthology trooper and quickly diverted to a night trooper instead. I have more screen accurate fabric on the way and know that the td has gray on the side inserts. While waiting for those two and a crl, is there anything else noticeable?

  5. Your ears are quite thick on the top and perhaps a "step" will help them come inwards more closing the cheek gap. My go to threads for ears Some references of screen helmets, many had gaps

  6. There will be a run sometime this year. They will only be available for full FISD members, so you need to have an approved TK costume and have one of these icons under your name on your profile. If you don't have one of these, and you have an approved TK, then you need to ask for Full Detachment access.

  9. Ahaha Lil' Nairy I hope it sticks as a nickname for the little guy! In my experience, just paint paint paint in thin layers, and eventually you'll end up with something cool! My first plan was to just do it with a brush at home to practice, but I went over to @Coil because he has an airbrush and some skills to teach me! My goal is to be able to quote Vader in the end: "When I left you I was but the lerner, now I am the master!"

  10. Outstanding, I love it! Wish I had the talent for this (painting on ab buttons is hard enough for me) but I do plan to print another 'Lil Nairy at a slightly larger scale and in white resin when I get bored, and maybe will try painting one of those to force myself to practice. Excited to see the final result, but it looks amazing. It's a great file and a fun concept!

  11. Okay, last pictures for the night. Both biceps are together. I've added a cover strip to one side and I started adding cover strips to the forearms as well. So need to shape up the shoulder bells. Then I'll start work on the ab/kidney sections. We have two armor parties next week, so hopefully I'll have a bit of help to finish my helmet. I'm so close.
