I’ve got an AM kit coming that will be made into an ROTJ suit, I’ve got the trim in hand and everything to convert it. I’ve sent Sskunky a message to inquire about a helmet kit. Hoping to hear back from them soon!2 points

After scrutinizing the helmet for a little too long, I’ve determined the best route to go is to get an ROTJ helmet. The in game helmet matches an ROTJ helmet, just cleaned up nicely and made to look a bit more symmetrical. I spent way too long going over every detail and comparing angles, symmetry, decals…. ^ ROTJ helmet for comparison2 points

Hey hey! Been a while since I've been here. I've got a new costume in the works, but after looking at the forums.... I wasn't quite sure where to put it. I'm planning to build the Heavy Stormtrooper from Battlefront 2, but nobody's made one yet and so there's no relevant forum sadly. Well, on to the details and pictures! I love the look of the heavy Stormtrooper, and the backpack is great, plus I like the black pauldrons and big guns.... so I looked and found there isn't a CRL for one yet, so I'm taking the plunge to build the first one! I've been talking to Dave's Darkside Depot for the armor, I've already got stuff in hand, I'll have to build the backpack. Helmet: DDD Armor: DDD Neckseal: I don't remember, got it off Etsy in.... 2018? (in hand) Pauldron: Trooperbay black pauldron (in hand) Body suit: Scuba black body suit (in hand) Boots: TKBoots (an original pair!) Gloves: Imperial Boots/KeepTrooping (in hand) Next post is the research post!1 point

Hi everyone, So excited to announce my TK number! I've always had a fascination with stormtroopers and that amazing outfit. Nobody believed this was actually a thing when I told them about it, and I seriously doubted if I could do it too, but here I am! I knew I wanted to do this build with someone, and I was lucky enough my good friend James, who also lives in the Toronto are, and for all intense and purposes is my twin (yes, we were even born on the same day), was thrilled to sign up with me. The journey started as a 40th birthday gift to myself. Originally, it was going to be a trip to Disney Star Wars with the family, but COVID got in the way that, and since I have plenty of time to research things, I stared searching for ways to buy/build a stuit and stumbled upon the FISD website, so here we are. James is really close to submitting as well. We are so excited to get out and start Trooping, especially charity work when it comes around. We are thrilled to be wearing Dark Side Dave's armor. Being so thick was tough to work with initially, but it fits us "huskier' troopers really well, and (as with all armor makers) looks amazing. Dave was always standing by to give a guiding hand, and I also want to send a huge shout out to all of those who helped us on our build thread, for giving us tips, and even picking us up when we thought all hope was lost and they we had either screwed up royally, or felt it was never going to pull together for us. We felt so welcomed into this community, and I have been raving about how supportive this group is. I can't wait to start paying it forward with other future troopers, and I can't wait to get out there and meet all of the amazing people Star Wars brings together. Almost as soon as I got approved, gmrhodes13 hooked me up with Nairy, who helped teach me how to make these awesome banners and play around with Photoshop, after he made my first banner for me!). Everyone just seems so generous. I wish more people could experience this. I'm honoured to be called Trooper with all of you. I've currently started my EIB submission and have the ultimate goal to make Centurion status. Once again, thanks to all for welcoming me and I look forward to seeing you out there. An ROTJ bucket is also listed. This reportedly IS screen used. https://propstoreauction.com/lot-details/index/catalog/386/lot/126479?url=%2Fauctions%2Fcatalog%2Fid%2F386%3Fpage%3D1%26view%3Dgrid%26cat%3D4141%26catm%3Dany%26order%3Dorder_num%26xclosed%3Dno%26featured%3Dno%26items%3D100 Our expert’s notes Bidding for this lot will end on Tuesday, March 12th. The auction will begin at 9:00AM PDT and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on Wednesday, March 13th or Thursday, March 14th. An Imperial stormtrooper helmet from Richard Marquand's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Imperial stormtroopers wore their standard-issue helmets throughout the film as they served the Galactic Empire, notably during the climactic Battle of Endor. Stormtroopers now rank among the most recognizable movie characters of all time. It is estimated that only around 50 helmets were produced for Return of the Jedi, with slight modifications and a somewhat more flattened appearance than the designs seen in the previous two films. All elements on the helmet are original and unaltered. The main body of the helmet is constructed from vacuum-formed ABS plastic. Several striped decals are applied to the helmet's cheeks and temple. The chin and mouth vent are finished in black paint, and a black rubber trim runs along the brow and around the neck opening. The eyes are green acrylic. The helmet's interior features an elastic chinstrap and a plastic headband with foam applied for comfort. "Alan H" is handwritten in blue ink in the interior. This could be Alan Harris, who was an uncredited stormtrooper in Jedi and had small, uncredited roles in both A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. The helmet interior also features a piece of paper taped to the dome, upon which the Yuma, Arizona, address for the "Blue Harvest" production offices is printed. "Blue Harvest" was the film's working title and was chosen to hide the fact that the third Star Wars movie was filming from fans and locals while on location. Yuma served as the location for the scenes at the Great Pit of Carkoon - scenes which do not feature stormtroopers. This is one of the best examples of a stormtrooper helmet in private hands. The helmet exhibits yellowing both inside and outside, and the chinstrap has frayed due to age. There exhibit scuffs, scratches, and paint wear on the exterior of the helmet, and one of the faux microphones on the front is missing its wire mesh. Estimate: $150,000 - 300,0001 point

An E-11 Stormtrooper blaster rifle from the promotion of George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope - Special Edition. Stormtrooper rifles were created for the promotional tour for the 1997 rerelease of the original trilogy with updated visual effects, additional shots, and altered scenes. Cast from resin and painted glossy black to appear metallic, this blaster features a design based on the Sterling L2A3 submachine gun. It exhibits chipped paint, chipped and exposed resin, and missing components. Dimensions: 18.25" x 3" x 6.5" (46.5 cm x 7.75 cm x 16.5 cm) Ownership may be restricted in some countries; see replica firearm notice in Buyer's Guide. Estimate: $1,500 - 3,000 Pasting the auction images here just in hopes they stay. This is apparently a promo blaster used on the promo tour in 97. Not a screen used blaster. Still very interesting.1 point

44. 2024-02-17, Swedish Air Force Museum, Linköping (Hero, with DLT-19) My dream troop! Unifying my two largest interests, flying and Star Wars! The Swedish Air Force Museum in Linköping is in my opinion the best museum in Sweden, and I've always gone there when growing up, but the last few years when travelling the 6 hours from central Sweden (Stockholm) to southern Sweden (Helsingborg) where my family lives, we haven't been able to stop by because they have been closed on the days we've travelled. Needless to say, I was very excited about this troop! I really wanted to try out the flight simulators they had there but couldn't fit in my TK, unfortunately! With me taking a private pilots license and having my first solo flight coming up, that would have been nice to do! (haven't gotten to fly all winter so I'm rusty) I did however manage to sit down for the first time ever! L4 complete! It was also my first time rocking the DLT-19 If you've ever played War Thunder and the Swedish tree, you'll recognise many of the aircraft I'm showing! Below is the only existing B18 in the world. Probably my third favorite aircraft. Quick coffee break with Anakin Skywalker In front of the imported British Vampire Looks like a real life docking bay 327 control room! Greetings fellow members, It is my pleasure to announce the two newest recipients of our Imperial Attaché Outstanding Achievement Award. This honor is bestowed on Attachés who go above and beyond the call of duty in their role as an Imperial Attaché, and both of these troopers have consistently exemplified the qualities warranting recognition. Arthur @giskard8 - TK39093, Hong Kong Garrison A seasoned veteran of the Detachment, when Arthur is not trooping he can be found welcoming new members to the forum and congratulating our new and higher level approvals. His actions contribute to the long tradition of FISD being the friendliest forum in the Legion, and no doubt Arthur will continue to consistently be at his Attaché post! Today we salute your unquestioned loyalty, Arthur! Gerald @Doggydoc - TK96004, Canadian Garrison It's nearly impossible to sneak in a new member introduction or special approval post without Gerald jumping in and welcoming the aspiring builder or joining the celebration of the new approval. He is also known to provide valuable input and helpful feedback throughout the forum. Today we salute your unquestioned loyalty, Gerald! Please join me in congratulating these two troopers!1 point

Need Help Ask the Deployment Officers Advance to 1500 Advanced Tactics Awards Newsletter Editor Staff List 2024 Follow FISD From our legion founder, Albin Johnson (TK-210) It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of TK/TD124, the legendary George "Old Sarge Oberon" of Garrison Carida. The oldest active Stormtrooper in the Legion, Sarge was there at the very beginning of Vader's Fist. His list of troops reads like a history book of the club. For decades he could be found at all the biggest Legion events, always in armor and always working the booth or a droid hunt or just on patrol. But always with a grin and a kind word for everyone. The 501st did not have a flashy start. It took volunteers doing hard work at events that no one had heard of. But Sarge was there, laying the very foundation blocks of the Empire. He was even at one of the earliest commanders' meetings. His advice was practical, even-handed. He wasn't there to impress. He was always there to serve. Most of all, he was a good friend. Whenever we met in our years of Star Wars adventures, he'd pat me on the back and tell me what a great time he was having. It is no exaggeration to say he was the epitome of the Legion spirit. I wish all the new kids in the Legion could know what a goat really is - Oberon was it. He was legend. I'm honored to have known him. Rest well, Sarge. Your patrol is done. May we always live up to your example. With the launch of The Mandalorian on Disney+, Weathers joined the galaxy far, far away as Greef Karga — an expeditor for the Bounty Hunter Guild who rises to become Magistrate of Nevarro, and ally to the Mandalorian and Grogu. He would receive an Emmy Award nomination for his efforts. In addition, Weathers stepped into the director’s chair for the critically-acclaimed episodes “Chapter 12: The Siege” and “Chapter 20: The Foundling." We’ll miss you, Carl. Be at peace. Condolences to his family, friends and the whole Star Wars community "Buckets Off" Greetings fellow members Elections are in full swing and once again FISD has come through them with no opposition although this time with a difference. It has been an absolute pleasure and a total honour to have been the commanding officer of this fine detachment for the last 4 years. In that time we brought the FISD forums into the new age with a huge amount of effort from all the staff. We worked diligently to make sure this was a friendly detachment for everyone, not just those inspired to join the 501st. That is important because ultimately, we want everyone to make their Stormtrooper dreams become a reality. We brought new sections, new colours and new reasons to want to be a member here with working to enlist costumes that were not only exciting but not all hard armour for FISD. We brought us closer to other detachments and now our relationship with them is better than its ever been. You can see our list of the work we achieved in my post here . In closing out on this chapter for my tenure as Detachment leader of FISD, I would like to wholeheartedly thank all the members that make this place as good as it can be every day. To the staff who believed in my visions, to not only support them but exceed all expectations, and embody our unofficial motto of Troopers helping troopers in everything they do. We are in very good hands with our new leader Joseph, who not only understands the importance of this magnificent collection of research and incredible encyclopaedia of Storm trooper knowledge, but also lives the motto and understands how important you all are at keeping this forum alive and well. I will still be around, although taking a background role in maintaining the forums and assisting Joseph in creating whatever he requires to continue revitalising our forums and keeping us relevant for new comers and old. Once again, thank you for your support over these years, thank you for supporting the team and also in continuing that supporting Joseph and the new additions to the FISD staff. On behalf of staff, members and the whole community we give thanks to you for steering the ship for 4 long years, for all your hard work, your confidence, support and guidance, your passion is unquestionable and your dedication is beyond reproach. Very few can even imagine the time and effort you have put in to the role and the rest you are now facing is well deserved. Undoubtedly you have made a big impact on a lot of our community, you leave a great legacy and you will always be remembered and admired. From your detachment, we salute you If you would to read more of what work was undertaken and completed over those 4 years head to this thread Greetings Fellow Troopers First off, let me thank you for being so supportive of me and the merchandise runs these past 2 years. I hope that I have provided quality products and service to all. With @justjoseph63 winning the election for DL here at FISD I'm very happy to announce that I will be staying on for another term as FISD's MBO. Recently Legion had a vote and passed some very comprehensive and streamlined rule changes on Merchandise and Branding (you can read about them here) which will change the way we do some of our standard merch. I am in talks with our new leader about merch for this term, and hopefully will have a plan that we can share to everyone before the March Newsletter. Let me tell you, I'm excited about some of the ideas that he has presented to me and I'm looking forward to sharing them with the troopers! Old Business The first annual Detachment Merchandise & Branding Officer End of year merch sale was a hit. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough items to cover everyone that wanted something. I hope to do this again next year and have already ordered a few extra items. You can read updates here. 1st Annual DMBO Merch Sale No new news on the #SecretMerch Item. The factory in China has been closed for the observation of Chinese New Year. Pfab tells me that he expects to have an update in the next week. but still believes that coins will be shipped early March. So We'll keep and eye on that. Secret Merch Item The shield patch run is complete and all patches have been mailed. Thank you to everyone for your understanding with some of the delay in shipping. I can't wait to see some folks post up their patch jackets, shirts, and other uses for their patches. Wear them with pride my fellow troopers. Here is where my first small patch went. 2023 Patch Run The Rocker run is closed. @MaskedVengeance has started sending payment request for these orders and will be placing the order soon, so hopefully they will be in your hands in the next 6 - 8 weeks. I'm very jealous of those that can wear these. I'm working on building my new AM kit to EI standard so that I can help "Advance to 1500". Rocker patches. New Business We were able to get two more items approved for the end of term. The first being the reissuing of the 501st Legion Stormtrooper banner patch. We reissued it in the standard red and black Legion color scheme that it was original issued in on it's first run and opened it to the legion. In addition, we added a version that is more closely aligned to our Detachment color palette, it is blue and white and exclusively for FISD members. This run is open until 24 FEB 2024 so please be sure to get your orders in. Stormtrooper Banner Patch Please remember to take time to check out your local, Legion and detachment elections. Participation in these helps guide the direction of these units. If you have any thoughts, suggestions, comments or concerns about FISD Merch or Branding, my "virtual" door is always open. Hit me up, you can reach me via email, forum DM, or find me on Facebook. Here is to another year of great FISD merch! Still working on the undersuit, been in contact with Sheev’s Emporium and Darkside Closet. Ordered today the trim for the armor and the MP40 pouch. That should settle everything for accessories (sans backpack, still working on that.) I’m making a 3D printable backpack from scratch so once that’s ready and I have it printed, I’ll share the file here so everyone can use it.1 point

I managed to get ahold of the exact model used, ripped straight from the game. So I took off the chest and back plate. Safe to say, the entire suit is ribbed. I didn't remove the other armor pieces, but I took a peek down the sides and they're fully ribbed even in areas that aren't seen at all. Interesting choice but likely done to save time in the 3D modeling process. The gloves are indeed Rogue One gloves as I thought.1 point

Could do. I’m just figuring if this is the first one of this costume, I should go that extra step for exact detail. Then if anyone else decides to do one, they can look here and see who I got mine from, or get ideas for how to make their own. What I’m thinking is the R1 pants as they are are perfectly fine, have the shirt be fully ribbed with the neck seal built in and no zipper, functioning as a pullover like underarmor.1 point
