  2. Questions are part of the process! Better to ask questions and clarify procedures before making any cuts or gluing anything, because doing things right the first time is much easier than having to fix something. I'm working on my third kit and I sometimes think I have too many questions, but that is only because I am being critical of myself. No one has ever told me I ask too many questions!

  5. I use 3 rotary tools, I hate changing the bits when I'm on a roll, I use a quick change cutting disc, debur/drill tool and sanding drum,.

  7. Over my time coveting, building and then being a TK I've built up a large collection of 'Billgrams'. I keep getting asked for where they come from (anywhere I saw them, a couple direct from him on my WIP). So to save people the hunting I present to thee my collection. I'll try keep it updated as I find them. In a few cases there's multiple version, in these cases I will only have the most up to date version to save on confusion. I'm also providing the click through links to flickr so you can get at the original files as I have (some will be 3rd or 4th hand I am sure!) Finally, some of these have exact measurements on them. Don't blindly follow them, check them on your armour brand, ensure it looks right. If in doubt ask. To quote the man himself: Paint colours (though see this thread for a more up to date one I did: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39650-anh-paint-colour-guide/) Helmet - Colours Helmet - ANH vs ESB Helmet - Padding Helmet - Frown_Mesh Strapping suggestions Snap positions - Front Snap positions - Rear Snap positions - Limbs Snap positions - Arm Arm - Strapping Armour Ab - Kidney Rivets Single Snap Thigh - Single cap rivets Thigh - Ammo Pack Bicep - Adjustment Armour - repair Belt Belt- Trim dimensions Belt - holster position Belt - drop boxes Belt - snap mounts Belt - Popper holster mount Belt - which side Belt - corners Belt-Popper Locations Drop Box - Dimensions Misc Ab Plate - Dimensions TD sizes

  8. You may want to take a look to the billgram diagram for the thigh ammo pack. At this moment I'm out of office and don't have access to the references I have in my PC.

  10. Just a quick note. If if not a mirror image, the ammo pack goes in the right thigh.

  13. You should trim from the ridge 7,5 mm each side. This will reduce the bicep. Make it with one side, test with your arm . It's strongly recommended to use the inner clack compression clothes so you can have a better fit.

  14. The voting phase of legion Elections starts today in approximately 2 hour 20 minutes from the time of this post As you may be aware, the main Legion forum has been having difficulties sending out email blasts to all the members, due to rate limiting. So they have asked all the various units to step up and make sure important Legion news gets broadcast to all members. Though there are no elections here at FISD, the LCO office as well as other units do have elections that require your vote! Please check your local Garrison, Legion or other Detachment forums forum to check the Q&As and evaluate your candidates so you can make an informed choice. The main Legion election information, including LCO Q&A and opening and closing statements, maybe be found on the main forum. https://www.501st.com/elections/ Remember: this is your Legion! So don't just stand there.... VOTE!

  15. 1. Just the right side 2. Strapping depends how much your sides overlap, you only want the sides to touch each other. 3. There are various different ways to make the tab/locking system, with the tabs tight against the insides of the armor it shouldn't allow any overlap. Here is "crickets" version. There have been numerous different ways to add some kind of locking system.
