  1. Hi everyone, So excited to announce my TK number! I've always had a fascination with stormtroopers and that amazing outfit. Nobody believed this was actually a thing when I told them about it, and I seriously doubted if I could do it too, but here I am! I knew I wanted to do this build with someone, and I was lucky enough my good friend James, who also lives in the Toronto are, and for all intense and purposes is my twin (yes, we were even born on the same day), was thrilled to sign up with me. The journey started as a 40th birthday gift to myself. Originally, it was going to be a trip to Disney Star Wars with the family, but COVID got in the way that, and since I have plenty of time to research things, I stared searching for ways to buy/build a stuit and stumbled upon the FISD website, so here we are. James is really close to submitting as well. We are so excited to get out and start Trooping, especially charity work when it comes around. We are thrilled to be wearing Dark Side Dave's armor. Being so thick was tough to work with initially, but it fits us "huskier' troopers really well, and (as with all armor makers) looks amazing. Dave was always standing by to give a guiding hand, and I also want to send a huge shout out to all of those who helped us on our build thread, for giving us tips, and even picking us up when we thought all hope was lost and they we had either screwed up royally, or felt it was never going to pull together for us. We felt so welcomed into this community, and I have been raving about how supportive this group is. I can't wait to start paying it forward with other future troopers, and I can't wait to get out there and meet all of the amazing people Star Wars brings together. Almost as soon as I got approved, gmrhodes13 hooked me up with Nairy, who helped teach me how to make these awesome banners and play around with Photoshop, after he made my first banner for me!). Everyone just seems so generous. I wish more people could experience this. I'm honoured to be called Trooper with all of you. I've currently started my EIB submission and have the ultimate goal to make Centurion status. Once again, thanks to all for welcoming me and I look forward to seeing you out there. TK-13239 out

  2. 8th of November 2023 Convenience modification Permanently attached thermal detonator I still haven’t quite finished this as I want to redo the brackets. The TD is very simply bolted directly through the canvas portion of the belt. I forgot to take photos of the inside before I glued it shut but it’s no great mystery how a nut & bolt work! I went for just 2 screws as the other two really won’t be visible. Easy to change my mind later if I want to be more accurate. TD bottom with brackets removed Reverse angle showing inside of canvas belt

  3. Hello everyone! I just wanted to share this, at one of my troops recently I got 3D scanned, and I'm going to get a 3D printed copy of this very soon that I'm going to paint and have as a statue at home! If I get ahold of the file, maybe I could make it available to everyone if you want to print a screen accurate TK and have at home? Edit: File here Height of model: 180,79cm || 71,1771654 inches

  7. So I might need to trim off the base that came with the scan which should be easy enough Most of the glare of the light is because of my screen protector on my phone camera, but it is pretty bright nonetheless so I will add something to lessen that Larger statue Smaller statue

  8. For sure! We can definitely work something out! The light pucks have arrived and I’ve messed around with them a little bit. They are REALLY bright, I’m going to try masking off some of the light so it isn’t as bright outwards and focuses more on the statue. Pictures in the next comment

  9. Yes. I assumed this was already marked as such as I had indicated I wouldn't be proceeding. Thanks. Bart

  10. Hi Matt. We need to ask you for a couple of fixes while we continue with your request. The first is very common. It is an easy fix. It looks more complicated than it is. We need you to remove the excess paint from the gums. As we always recommend, you can achieve this with a little mineral spirits and a toothpick. Reference image The other fix, are the soles of your boots. The CRL states: L1.- Flat sole with a short heel. We are aware of the dangers of a completely flat sole, but you could use the dremel, or take the boots to a "cobbler" (I think that's what it's called), to smooth the edges, so that the soles look totally flat. Regarding the photos, they are fine. Although for your Centurion application (which we are sure you will apply for ), you will have to publish all the photos with the fixes made.

  17. Excited!! I'm interested in getting my hands on one if you can handle the hassle of sending it over to Sweden (paying myself ofc) Otherwise I'll try to make it with the help of some friends with 3d printers over here!

  18. 81. Montessori of Ladera Ranch Annual Fall Festival - Ladera Ranch, CA - Sat., 11/4/23 (ANH-S #54, FTE #63) @Dsposato0 and I also got some Imperial marksmanship training in while we were at this troop! Not surprisingly, we didn't hit anything. (You know it's hard to see out of those helmets!)
