31. 2023-11-03, Comic Con Stockholm 2023, (Hero) Comic Con Stockholm! The Garrison has made tremendous efforts with a lot of fun games people can take part in! Beautiful backdrops and Death Star walls, and Tatooine environments! Droid hunt, bounty hunt, blast a trooper, writing people up (much like Imperial HR), we have a little spot where troopers can stand as a statue and have a sign in front that the visitors can read up on the particular costume in front of them. It was fun when standing still for a while and then moving to get a fist bump and the visitors got scared We have also have a "costume highlight" section, where someone either have laid out their costume on a table or put it up on a mannequin and people can go up to it and have a close look, whilst the owner can talk about it and answer any questions! In the first day we raised $2000! Not even the busiest day! Today we were 11 grown up troopers and 1 small one! I'm the trooper looking into the camera!

32. 2023-11-04, Comic Con Stockholm 2023, (Hero, with Space Pack) I finally made my Space Pack debut! Some dressing issues: The tube needs to be more horizontal, the pack needs to be a little higher up I have dreaded and dreamt about this day to come! And it finally did! It started with me breaking off the white tube in the back, so we had to do some field surgery on the thing! It all resulted in me still wanting to go through with it, despite everything not being perfect! One could argue that the hose was attached at an angle to the chest and that one of the Space troopers has a pack that sits very low! I chose to see it that way to give myself the courage to go out there with it! Next time I'll point with my right hand instead of my left, as the one "space trooper" in A New Hope pointed with his right! A lot of troopers were stoked to finally see it and I had some that came up not knowing what it was, and later when explaining they got goose bumps when they realized why I had been pointing at everything! Note how the high five between us crushes the rebel legion logo in the background? I might be the worlds first with the Hero/Space Pack combo! It has been my dream combo ever since I started digging a bit more into the whole thing! Notice the left glove? One very fun meme thing with the Space Trooper is that I walk around pointing at everything

Looking good, just looks like some minor tweaks, a very clean build. A little hard to see details in photos as they are quite small: PHOTO GUIDELINES Photo size- At least 800 X 600 (preferably 1280 X 960) You could adjust the gap between your forearms and biceps, this would close the gap at the wrists and give you more elbow movement Belt could come up a little more "The top of the ABS belt shall sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical ab button panels. A slight overlap is suggested, but not required." Shins could sit a little lower on the boots, or place some attachment inside the boots so the neck doesn't come out when bending. You could rotate the detonator a little more so the O detail can be seen

You can use a real or replica weapon for L2 approval, note L2 is not issued at base costume approval it is part of detachment levels, you can apply for L2 Expert Infantry once approved with a Stormtrooper costume. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Blaster shall be based on a real or replica S&T Sterling L2A1 AEG Airsoft Gun 3D print files can also be used, Bryan one of our members kindly shared his files free of charge, you can find those here FYI you don't need a blaster for base costume approval, blasters are compulsory for L2 and above

It's not as popular as the OT armour, let's not forget, but obviously there are more reasons one wouldn't build a specific costume than just a CRL, so let's not leave that small detail out. Sorry Justin, that's not actually correct. You can have it at basic level, clearly you might have missed that point. Never been excluded, nor do I feel it should be. It's not about the material the blaster is made of, it's about the bells, whistles and embellishments for a higher level. Don't forget, this is not about uprooting the entire blaster section of the CRL, this is a proposal to go to a trial and if the LMO's agree then we will trial it. If it works, that's great, if members see merit, even better. If it doesn't work, the CRL's still have intact the blasters basic, EI and Centurion levels there. Not everything will be meaningful to everyone, we are all different, but if you don't see this might be a little fun for some, then that's ok too. Well, this is not a factual statement in the sum of all its parts. We haven't made the CRL's more difficult for any member to achieve 501st approval. That level is still very much the same, aside from some minor tweaks to errors. Lvl 2 and 3 is up to the detachment to set the standard, and we do, as all the other detachments do. The reason we are even considering this is to expand on what is allowable and keeping with the standards. This has never been, nor should it be, everyone wins a participation prize. Strive like others, and you are rewarded, no one is forced to take on the higher levels of approval, nor should they be. @equuspolo absolutely is a great example of how darn good these costumes can look, and he stepped up to the plate and some! His concerns are another reason we are here with this proposal, but we aren't going to throw the baby out with the bathwater in taking a backwards step on the standards we currently have. Enhancing this is the idea, and who knows how that will look in the future. At minimum, this offers a starting. There won't be a perfect solution that makes everyone happy, it would be delusional to think one could, and I am a realist. A middle ground is generally the best way forward, and this is what we are attempting to achieve. We are not a prop replication club, and in saying this, there are other Detachments with far harder to achieve standards than the FISD. I've heard from other legion staff that we strike a pretty good balance or middle ground on how we go about our CRL's and higher awards. That is something for every member to be proud of. FISD, very much like all other detachments, take the stand-out differences that give some form of separation between costumes. For us, we have very similar costumes across the genres, more than most, well aside from the CTD (Clone Trooper Detachment) lol, that's insane how many they have, but we need to identify those difference and make them "stand out", so we have the number of CRL's we do. If this proposal is not for you, vote how you see fit, it's all we expect from everyone who wishes to partake.
