  3. 34. Hamilton Comic Con, 24 September 2023 34 troops as a TK, and Troop #50 overall! Between scheduling conflicts and COVID, it's been four years since I got to troop this con, but the wait was worth it. Pictures are going a little out order, but you'll see why. Made a quick trip across the border to the Canadian Warplane Heritage museum, where the con is held. Towards the end of the day, con guest Dmitrious Bistrevsky (who played Darth Vader in Kenobi) stopped by. He had some fun with the Blast-a-Trooper (one-handed, dual-wielding, dual-wielding and joined by the Galactic Academy members ...), got a couple of patches from the Canadian Garrison, and took pictures with us. I don't have a copy of the "normal" group photo, but here's the one he requested: "Okay, everyone on this side is being Force-pushed, and everyone on this side is being Force-choked!" That's me up on my tiptoes being Force-choked He followed this with "You know how Yoda trained Luke to do handstands and use the Force?" So he proceeded to do a handstand, then handstand splits, culminating with: Now the regular con pics: Obligatory Blast-a-Trooper (with good grouping): This individual complimented our mutual color scheme: With a fellow Disney employee: The Canadians have really nice speeder bikes: Group photos inside the de Havilland Canada DHC-5A Buffalo transport plane: TKs only:

  5. Alright! So the last few months have been hectic for me! Got some wedding planning and moved into a new apartment with the fiancé. BUT I did get a moment to make some strapping adjustment prior to a troop yesterday. Got two shots that kinda show how the backpack now rests with tightened internals and some velcro on the back box. @Nairy@gmrhodes13 Given where I have the backplate OII square wedged internally into the pack I don’t think it’s gonna shift much higher unless I trim that itself down. However I got it to cling pretty tightly where it doesn’t droop at an angle or have much gap on the backplate. Thoughts? I know those pics probably aren’t the greatest but it’s what I got at the moment. I also started my first troop log as a TK!

  6. Hopefully I'm not laughed out of the squad with this comparison, but I've got the Black Series toy next to me right now. Your backpack rides almost precisely where the toy's does. LOOKS GOOD TO ME!!! But seriously, it looks really good. The height looks perfect.

  8. Your shins should sit a lot lower. You could perhaps use some heat to open them a little more OR try larger cover strips on the rear which will definitely give you more room Here's a comparison with another AP, note how much room around the knees there is. Definitely don't go cutting mobility cuts until you are wearing all of the armor, I've seen a few that trim them then are left with huge gaps on the back as they really weren't needed

  9. Some more information. The character is part of Task Force 99, Seargent Kreel was seen as a specialist so this character is homed under Special Opps, I would think the trooper you are referring to would also go to Spec Ops Sergeant Kreel, designated Agent 5241, was an undercover stormtrooper and SCAR trooper of the Galactic Empire, serving in the 501st Legion under the direct command of Darth Vader. Kreel was given command of an elite group of SCAR troopers, designated Task Force 99 Spec Ops also home Task Force 99: Cav https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Task_Force_99:_Cav More references of your character "Shrap" (rear trooper in first image) https://comicvine.gamespot.com/shrap/4005-162019/ Someone was building some of these troopers, Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100061258101660

  10. This can happen when you don't log into the forum, you need to do so every year between census to census. You could request your GML updates your affiliation, then this should be updated prior to the next elections as the LWM's have an automated process. Mor info here

  11. Hi Jacob. generally you need 4 references minimum for the potential of a CRL to be considered by the LMO team. Front, back left and right sides. Cartoon and animated series characters can be difficult to replicate the right look so i would also recommend you email the LMO office, let them know what you are interest in creating and even direct them to the post you have here. This character may come under the purview of Spec Ops detachment as well, so check in there in case they have any existing threads or discussion on this character. There does look to be a lot of customization required to pull this off, not a standard TK kit,so 3D printing would be the only way to bring this to life. All the parts look quite different to anything live action.

  12. It is with great pleasure FISD presents Commander Pyre CRL officially approved and open. Congratulations to Dino (Sano) TK 75608 for his epic work bringing this character to life from the animated series Star Wars Resistance. This one was a long time in the making and we are excited to finally add this new costume to the detachment roster. We now stand at 21 CRL's https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Commander-pyre

  14. 31. Nickel City Comic Con, 30 June 2023 This con is practically in my backyard, but this is the first year that I've attended in any capacity. A picture with a fellow TK, honest: This is TK-71600. He didn't wear white that weekend, just his Groot, Mighty Thor, and a couple of Lego Batmans (Batmen?), but he did stop by to have some fun with us
