Hello all! So excited to finally be approved. It's been a long time in the making. My name is Marissa, I'm with the Dutch Garrison. I joined the legion in 2020 with my Darth Zash. I've made more 'obscure' costumes since (Mara Jade, Darth Revan), and seeing all the TK's at events made me really want to build my own as well. Every year we walk 10 kilometers in costume for Pink Ribbon during the annual Dam tot Dam event. Last year I walked in my Mara Jade, but I had so much respect for the TK's doing it in their kits. I then made myself a promise: next year I'll stand there in my TK too. So that was my goal and deadline! Having mostly worked with fabric before, a TK was really a challenge for me. Luckily I had help from my fellow troopers. I was approved last Wednesday, and yesterday I walked the 10km. I know that's insane for a first troop in a TK, but a lot of willpower goes a long way (and fans in my helmet..). Looking forward to many more events in this kit! Cheers!8 points

Thank you kindly everyone! It survived the first mall mission almost unscathed. Even some rougher handling by overenthusiastic children and teens and me bumping into the rubber .... uh ... handle?... of an escalator. Easily polished out while wiping the sweat out of it. Only thing that did not survive were the plates for the back of my hand on both sides. Adhesive was sweated off i believe, so we stitched them on now, seeing how round two goes later today. Bit sad that my good long leather gloves are sacrificed, but for some reason the nomex gloves i wanted are unable to be delivered from most stores i tried - or it is knockoffs i do not want. Yesterday was a blast however, we made people's days left and right, mall security saluted us first and some of the more geeky stores started friendly banter on who gets the officer and his trooper next. They even entrusted me a Boba Fett Nerf Blaster to patrol the mall with so i had at least something to carry in my hands. Once i got the detonator done i'll post more and tackle my boots for a more or less quick application to the German Garrison.2 points

I run the elastic under the yoke, the tabs have been strong enough so far. Inside I've added 3 extra support pieces of plastic to help prevent cracks, you need some give to get your arms through (especially with rubber gaskets) and unfortunately cracks are just going to happen. Also with the elastic straps I have the front ones slightly shorter, this helps pull the shoulders in at the front after moving your arms so the gaps look better. You may be lucky just to use ABS paste as long as you can fill and sand to a nice appearance, it's a lot of elbow work but it can be done, and has been by a few members now. We had to deal with some modifications on the earlier kits hence why most had to paint.1 point

You just try to get the yoke/backplate to fit best you can, I used JB weld and it can be sanded but I still had to ass some bondo. A place that flexes is the top of the yoke over the shoulders, it's a good idea to add some support behind the return edge From Tony's build @ukswrath came up with a metal support to help I didn't cut a slot for my shoulder tabs I made them wrap around so you aren't creating a weak area Belt box reference1 point

Also just looking through the CRL early draft in this thread, I don't see a reason why the centurion level items should be struck out, considering this character is based off the TFA FOTK, things like palm stitching and the way boxes seams are not filled, and other items should absolutely remain. It just doesn't make sense not to have them included as you are building this in a realistic fashion, not in a game render fashion. These are also optional levels so there is no pressure for anyone to build to that level , but if they have a centurion level TFA TK, then they have some options to make a Pauldron and secondary helmet plus any other differences, to have a another costume from the base and also hit centurion with that. We will definitely have a detailed look at this and flesh out the wiki origin doc before submitting to the LMO team. The build is coming along nicely Justin, almost there.1 point

Hey, some great news. I have finish my build last week-end and I have received the approval this week. thanks for your help, I have found lot of info, tuto etc… on this forum. TK26053 ready for duty First trooping wenesday After the first troop I need to improve/update two things : - gloves -> where can I found the plastic gloves ? Any changes to the base TFA CRL were noted in my original post with items that are added in green and items that are removed being struck through. If the LMO has any concerns with the items I've struck through, I encourage someone to submit reference material from the game that clearly shows the detail in question. Otherwise, I have removed them because they are either not present or are unable to be verified with reference to my knowledge. I added back the ab sides being seamless - while I disagree with this being at the Basic level, I won't hold up the CRL to fight for it.1 point

#23 So today we were back at the Riverside museum in Glasgow to support Glasgow Children's Hospital charity 3K and 10k walks. It was a fun day waving the participants off at the starting line and welcoming them back at the finish line. We joined in the warm up sumba class and did the Congo to the starting line.1 point
