  1. Hello, My name is Kira (She/Her). I just moved to the Seattle area. So technically I already have a costume (snowtrooper and its not approved atm, I also cant figure out the snowtrooper website so idk if or how to get that approved or interact with people there). But that aside, even though I literally already have a costume I already want another one lol. Im considering the classic stormtrooper and a few others. I just wanted to make this post to say hello! And also get into contact with the Titan Garrison members here. Kind Regards, Kira

  2. Hey y'all, long time Star Wars fan (play SWGOH way too much) and living in Austin TX USA. Have a close friend & co-worker who has referred me here and to Walt's (for kits) that has trooped for ages so looking forward to joining up and doing my first build. He has all the tools/advice I think but great to have 'here' and y'all as another resource for support, advice, questions. I think I have the armor order figured out thanks to "Walt", but no clue on guns, boots, belt holster, neck seal, gloves or the other required 'soft parts' of the TK kit (ANH armor set). So any advice there would be welcome! Thanks and May the Force Be With You

  3. Good to know lol, and I of course was going to look into it more in-case I needed to remove some but I'm glad I asked here because Google wouldn't give me Darth Vader screaming.

  4. DO NOT USE NAILPOLISH REMOVER, it will melt the plastic, it's basically acetone which is what we use to make ABS paste and that's what you will get. A little elbow grease is all that is needed, a wet rag, scrap plastic or pop stick, even your thumb. Any excess glue will be pretty easy to rub off, scrap plastic cut on an angle, great for getting into the sides over coverstrips.

  5. Welcome to the FISD, Erick! Lots to research to do while you "hurry up and wait" for your WTF kit, so feel free to dive right in. We have a LOT of info. available here and sometimes it can seem a bit confusing, but always feel free to ask as many questions as you like... we are here to help every step of the way. If I could offer some advice it would be: 1. Take.... your....time, and don't rush your build. Trust me. 2. The link to the list that Glen supplied will help immensely, but again, ask us if you need help. It's what we do best! 3. While you wait for your WTF kit, get your supplies in order. I have a thread here which will help. Having things at the ready will make life easier. 4. Once you get your kit, start a build thread and post LOTS of pics. Posting photos is really important, especially when you have an issue. This thread will help. 5. Know that we are here for you! Looking forward to seeing your white armor journey!

  10. Thank you again! You've been extremely helpful, as is the rest of the detachment forum. Can't imagine how we would've done all of these things without everyone here <3 The store did print them, but they are a bit more straight instead of having that handpainted look.* I do hope it's going to be fine, but i found nothing stating otherwise on the Legacy FemTK CRL. So i guess i'll be good. *Edit: Worded it kinda dumb. They do have the curved aspect going on, they are not just straight rectangles. They just all look pretty much alike instead of slightly tilted and more varied as in the linked thread Took some more full pictures (only the thermal det lacks currently) and later on will visit a local nerd store to derp around in uniform and garner some attention for the place. Pardon the lack of updates! I got my foster son over, but no worries he already is on the right track haha. It runs in the family.

  11. I love the trimming part of an armour build, ha who am I kidding, I love the entire process! With every cut comes confidence, with every examination of a reference image comes learning and knowledge, with every glued and assembled piece comes progress and excitement, what is there not to love. Keep up the great work and updates Jim, you will be at the finish line before you know it.

  13. @Jedikiller2024 Kian be sure to check out the Mountain Garrison https://www.mg501.com/, I think you would be in the Mile High Squad. If you join that forum you can find out more locally. Also, if you use facebook, look up Mountain Garrison and you should find the build group that can also help you get started. I am starting on a FOTK right now and will probably end up with the same questions eventually. As for glasses, I wear them but take them off with my bucket on. If you really can't see well, I guess contacts? I am sure someone in the forums has a better answer than mine. Good luck!

  14. I had a feeling I would wake up to an explanation from a certain blaster expert , many thanks for the explanation. What this investigation has shown is that there was some E-11's seen onscreen with no T-tracks on either side due to the light coming through the barrel, perhaps this option may be looked at for a future CRL update. Thanks again Sergiu

  16. I finally got an original and mint full metal MGC (Model Gun Corporation - Japan) Stormtrooper blaster, and it is one of the best conversions I've seen. True prop collectors know how rare these things are, I wanted one for ages. It still misses a small greeblie, but I will get that separately and add it myself. The Stormtrooper blaster comes with: - Aluminum scope rail - Accurate Weaver Scope Ring - Aluminum Scope with separate glass lens (from Boba Debt's last run) - Aluminum Barrel Rails - Accurate Mr. Sparkle Hammer Greeblies - Real RO72 Sight - Lightly weathered And it also came with the original MGC cardboard box from the 80's, which is insanely cool. Now to make some plaques and a cool metal stand for this beauty. Special thanks to the two friends who so kindly helped me with getting this baby.
