  1. Thank you again! You've been extremely helpful, as is the rest of the detachment forum. Can't imagine how we would've done all of these things without everyone here <3 The store did print them, but they are a bit more straight instead of having that handpainted look.* I do hope it's going to be fine, but i found nothing stating otherwise on the Legacy FemTK CRL. So i guess i'll be good. *Edit: Worded it kinda dumb. They do have the curved aspect going on, they are not just straight rectangles. They just all look pretty much alike instead of slightly tilted and more varied as in the linked thread Took some more full pictures (only the thermal det lacks currently) and later on will visit a local nerd store to derp around in uniform and garner some attention for the place. Pardon the lack of updates! I got my foster son over, but no worries he already is on the right track haha. It runs in the family.

  2. After getting back to it today I managed to fit (with space for the undersuit and gloves) and trim the forearms, so now all that's left is to glue them after a little bit of trimming to make it nice and smooth at the elbow where the two halves meet. This is coming along great so far, I can't wait to get to the rest!

  3. I love the trimming part of an armour build, ha who am I kidding, I love the entire process! With every cut comes confidence, with every examination of a reference image comes learning and knowledge, with every glued and assembled piece comes progress and excitement, what is there not to love. Keep up the great work and updates Jim, you will be at the finish line before you know it.

  4. Thankyou brother for the super detailed answer. Yeah i live in Italy …. so would be very hard for me to order one of “real “ sterling even if not assembled. Like you said i would easily lose it at the custom. Plus 900 dollars for an aluminium ,quite fragile replica, and not assembled is TOO MUCH . another one is Troopacoola but is 50% metal and 50% resin ( still fragile ) wich i dont like…. at the end i bought the MR one and arrived yesterday. 1200 euro ….. but i see someone sell it for 2000+ so at the end not so bad . Ps : LOVELY collection , gratz

  6. Day 2 Progress, all large trimming complete. Sore wrists, blisters & cuts included. First off, the trimmed lot. Actually, I have not trimmed the boxes & some of the smaller strips. But those aren't pictured anyway. A great way to measure success for a day. The trimmings pile. For my own understanding, it helps to just lay the parts out and note where they will eventually be mounted. Here are all the boxes. A fair number more than my Imperial TK! It's been a long day, but I still have all my digits so I count it as a success. Another day, another step closer to completion.

  10. Yes the front stripe falls/leans outwards from the top but you can also see other stripes are positioned or angled a touch differently to others, some are also different widths, this is to give the impression that they are hand painted.
