First nearly-full suit up! Belt and ab boxes are next, along with some fine tuning, but I'm pretty happy for its first time being worn! Grabbed the wrong helmet on my way out of the workshop, oh well. More updates soon.4 points

Hi! So I started my TK build back in 2009 and took a few year break and decided to finish this build to seek approval so I can attend some events in the Ohio (US) area. A few things to note… I’ve gained weight. I feel like my head has gotten smaller. I need a new body suit. I have a few things left to do such as: • Attaching the lenses to the helmet • Adding a helmet liner / system • Buying & Adding a mic setup • Figuring out how to buy / attach the thermal detonator with metal clips • Buying a new body suit 🫣 Hope these pics go through. Excited to finish this and get out there to restore the galaxy to order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Hello everyone, First of all I am very happy to be here . I'm Marcel, 26 years old from Karlsruhe in Germany. Besides Star Wars, playing the bagpipes is my biggest hobby. My journey started in 2016 with the wish to become a Stormtrooper. Due to a lack of information, I decided to buy an armour from a manufacturer in England/USA that was no longer up to date. I often went to conventions and events on my own and got into conversation with members of the German Garrison. I got helpful links and tips, among other things how to make my armour better and registered in the public forum of the GG. After that, I took everything apart, adjusted it to my size and completely rebuilt the armour with modern strapping. I was on the road with it for a long time, but lost contact with the GG again due to time constraints.' Now, at the beginning of 2023, after the forced break, I was finally on the road again at events, made new contacts and finally found the courage to apply in March. After further extensive modifications such as a new helmet and chest plate, I have now made it and am very happy to be here and look forward to spending time together trooping and everything around it. Over the years i got support from many people, especially with parts from Trooperbay, Marc Opletal from OpleProps and Andre from Ironmotion in Germany. Thank you all, also to the many people who helped me in the Forum, talked to me on conventions and during the approval process I'm really looking forward to events and life in the Empire, see you soon. Cheers Marcel1 point

If the Chimera insignia is present, it shall be a vinyl sticker, embroidered patches or sewn on plastic patches are not permitted.1 point

Here is an alternate version changing up the text to another part of the conversation thread It was mentioned vinyl sticker or painted. painting by habd unless you are that good could look messy but screen printed might work. Again only suggestions. lets bolt it down so i can lock it up anf get LMO's to approve the changes1 point

This is what i have so far. I noticed that the insignia conversation changed a few times regarding how it should look/materials etc, plus what level and what style per level, but this is what it is at the moment as a first draft. Can update text easily for changes as I have the CRL wiki document open. Also i can add a much larger image of the insignia in the CRL gallery attached to the CRL.1 point

Troop 33 Fan Expo Canada - Day 4 Toronto, Ontario Aug 27, 2023 The final day was pretty much the same format as the previous 2. Did a 2 hour shift on Blast-a-Trooper and hung around the set for photo ops with guests. In the morning before the show opened, I stopped by the Disney+ booth that had props from Ashoka on display as well as a cool 360 degree camera video to try. Got some cool screen captures from it.1 point

Troop 32 Fan Expo Canada - Day 3 Toronto, Ontario Aug 26, 2023 We did our Garrison photo before the con opened. We had a pretty good turn out with about 70 members in costume. It was fun to have several TK’s kitted up, so we took advantage of the Tantive 4 set before the show opened.1 point

Troop 31 Fan Expo Canada - Day 2 Toronto, Ontario Aug 25, 2023 Took it a bit easier today trooping the morning and then spending the afternoon with family before doing a short costumed period in the evening. Got to show off my shiny white armour to my brother. We saw ANH together in the summer of 78 at a theatre in California. He cried because he wanted to see “Benji Come Home”. We still do not let him live that one down to this day.1 point

Troop 30 Fan Expo Canada - Day 1 Toronto, Ontario Aug 24, 2023 We had a huge set this year for Fan Expo with a Hoth set, Jabba’s throne room, our droid scrap yard with speeder bike and the Tantive 4 corridor. Also blast a trooper was back in full force. I over did it a bit today with 2 troops back to back spending 5 hours in costume, then took a 90 minute break, then kitted up for another 3 hours. I learned my lesson when my feet rebelled that evening and eased up over the next 3 days. Photos of our sets Oh and did I mention, we had a full sized Tauntaun? Had to take this shots in costume. My son and daughter-in-law visited the booth for a photo op as well.1 point

Troop 29 Fan Expo Canadian Citizenship Ceremony Toronto, Ontario Aug 24, 2023 This was a pre Fan Expo troop in which 91 people were awarded their Canadian citizenship. They posted 2 stormtroopers to stand as honour guard at the door. After the ceremony, we all posed for photos and mingled with the crowd. New citizens were given a pass to attend the Con later that afternoon. Lots of fun and great to see people so excited to get their citizenship. Suited up and ready to trek across the convention centre. Making the trek through the convention centre, navigating elevators and escalators and posing for the obligatory elevator selfie. Next we stood as honour guard and greeted guests coming into the ceremony Grabbed a quick phot with an RCMP Mountie. Post ceremony group shots1 point

Troop 7 part 2. The day after the Market Square troop we went out to a local area called The Great Sandhills which feature a number of sand dunes in the middle of the prairie. It's a rather interesting nature spot and it can make from some very good photos. We were there early enough to have wind swept sand with no other footprints. I didn't want to take my still new armor out into the sand so while I did pose for one silly shot I just helped get the others in and out of the area. I felt maybe you all would like to see some of the finished shots. Bart If there was any doubt that Tatooine is really in Canada you just have to look at what I'm drinking. Bart1 point

(21) This weekends trooping took place at Golf It and The Big Feed raising for the Catherine Mcewan Foundation crohns. We've been having a typical Scottish summer with the wet weekends but it didn't stop the Imperial Scottish Garrison from doing their thing!1 point
