  3. Ah, I did not know the cover strips could be angled!!! And yes I knew about the sanding both. But didn't realize that much drying time. Good to know. Thank you Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk

  4. Note also that with coverstrips not all have to be straight, they can be angled Not sure if it's been mentioned but make sure you rough both surfaces with coarse sandpaper prior to fixing with glue, helps the glue to grip too. For those coverstrips that don't lay completely flat squashing the pieces down and wrapping masking tape around tightly can help and any pieces under strain leave to dry for at least 48 to 72 hours.

  7. You glue the bottom tab on the posterior, the top tab is free and sits behind the kidney and stops the posterior pushing backwards stopping gaps. You should be able to keep your strapping as it is and have the v tabs next to them, it should be enough to stop the posterior pushing backwards. If you have clamps or magnets try a test first to make sure.

  8. Hi Tristan. What a great looking helmet and E11 blaster they look awesome. In a quick view , what I can see that will be a block for higher levels : 1- E11 Blaster: Even though it look great , there are some small details that we didn't see on screen and you will need to address : Ammo Counter CRL for L3- The blaster may have minor weathering or base metal exposure however, T-tracks and grips shall be of a black plastic appearance with no silver/metallic weathering allowed. Although in some counters the brass could be seen, in this one it does not look like weathering, (it is a perfect square). You may be able to paint it black and then rub a little before it dries completely, and thus give it the " weathered " look. Also it would be located forward as the reference images. References 2- Helmet : As EIB and Centurion are an add on to the Legion standards, it has to be Basic approvable. Those scuffed marks looks great from a prop replication point, but aren't for what was intended and not what we saw on screen when things are moving, and thus not allowed on a Legion approvable costume. You may want to check the EIB and Centurion application Threads and see what we look for. Rerefences I would also suggest to trim a little more the extra material in the Left Eye References This was a quick check and more details would be pointed in a EIB and Centurion Review. keep it up

  13. Great thanks! I will double-check the return edge, I thought I had it at 4 mm. But that picture makes it look larger. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish the forearms and maybe the biceps once I get some help.

  14. Thank you all for the kind words! They are most appreciated <3 Feels great seeing this thing in an almost complete state! Now after a couple days of resting from speedrunning the bulk of this build i got back to it. Cleaned a few things up, removed globs of E6000 and tried how the whole thing sits now. Thankfully i am no longer plagued by extreme discomfort around my hips. Maybe i wear the corset different now, the stress from trying out countless methods and padding things is gone or something else made 'click' ... but regardless of what the reason is, it felt great wearing it today for some shenanigans around the house. Stairs are quite alright, visibility is ... i gotta get used to it. Used to limited vision from other costumes already, so this should go fast. Very happy about the fact i can put it on completely by myself if i have a little raised area somewhere. Like a bed, couch or chair. Ordered some universal helmet padding from amazon to get the helmet to sit properly before i put in my fans. After that there is only the need to get the detonator sorted out and add the tube stripes. Saw we got a .pdf as a template - is it correct they are to be 16mm high? I noticed it today again, we might have to redo the shoulder straps or see how well they behave when being done tighter. Perhaps we glued them in a bit too high on the bells themselves - will experiment around with that on the weekend most likely. The strapping itself is supposed to sit flat on my undersuit, correct? As customary at this point - some pictures and gifs for everyone's viewing pleasure. I have accepted that my hip is just going to cause the armor to sit uneven at this point. Visible pretty good in the last picture, right knee is not covering the shin and the rectangles of the corset are pointing towards my eye and shoulder instead of straight up. Attempts to even it out tend to just make it worse visually or sacrifice comfort. Not keen on that. But as long as it isn't as bad as in the first test we did with tape a while ago i am happy with the results. For direct comparison: Old vs new.

  15. It does happen on some makes of armor, you can trim the ends to match, make sure the fronts meet and adjust the back accordingly
