  1. Thanks for the threads! I will take a few pictures here soon. I guess I was and still am hoping that after I trim it up and with the strapping I won't need shims. But I will see.

  2. Depends on how much return edge you have, you just need it to wrap around that, the smaller the gap the less movement you have

  3. Thanks chaps. Yes, I should have mentioned I haven’t painted my split rivets yet but thanks for the heads up all the same. @glen, just a question on the V tabs, how high would you recommend making the ‘V’? Sent from The Empire

  4. Nice work. Yes rotate those biceps a little and bring them up, you can then space the gaps between your forearms and handguards as they are just touching. Drop boxes not quite at the end of the plastic belt Posterior pushing away from kidney, either tighter strapping or V tabs Helmet I only have a piece of 5mm soft foam so the helmet isn't too far above the head. With a heat gun you bend strips of ABS plastic into the shape of a V, only glue one side and the other remains free to allow movement when you bend. Just helps stop the butt plate from pushing back from the back plate. Check the gaps and endcaps on your TD gap looks a little small between caps and control panel Not far to go now, you are nearly at the finish line

  5. @justjoseph63 might have something for you. I don't wanna speak for him, but I know a project was in the works a while back.

  6. Hey, everyone! I've haven't posted in awhile after I submitted pictures to my local GML, and I'm pleased to announce that they were approved! I'd like to thank you all for your help and guidance! I still have to submit for expanded access on FISD with my TK number. Once I get more active in the organization, I plan to submit for higher approval levels. I do have one quick question, though. What are my options for an E-11? Are there any recommended vendors or anywhere else I can go through?

  8. Can I get some opinions? I am leaning to not doing any trimming of my ears since they both lay pretty much like this. It would be nice if they were flush. But I am honestly feeling pretty lucky they are where they are. I have seen many reference images where the gaps are worse.

  9. Thrawn’s Guard E11 Blaster Stands Further to my blaster stand thread in which the idea is for people to post pictures and links of either scratch built or bought blaster stands, (See link below), I was inspired to have a look at custom building a blaster stand for my own E11. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35416-blaster-stands/ After a short time sketching out in rough a few ideas I decided to draw out in more detail my initial thoughts and also have a go at modelling the stand to see if it works in 3D. I still have a fair amount of research to carry out not least with regard to where I could possible get some thin steel plate laser cut and the design may evolve a little over time but I thought that it may interesting for some of you so here goes with my first concept design (3 variations). The base itself may end up being gloss black, metallic or natural wood whilst my initial thoughts would be to have the removable ‘Death Star’ base plate and imperial logo laser cur from thin steel sheet if possible, I would also look to perhaps get a plaque made stating/showing some or all of the following:- 1) Star Wars Logo, 2) TK Number (When I get one) 3) Stormtrooper E11 blaster. Under the metallic death star themed base plate I may look to place a thin white plastic sheet which will show through the holes in the base plate and perhaps paint the opposite face with black so that it is reversible. Due to the asymmetrical positions of the support arm the stand will not be symmetrical however the detailing and logo would and any plaque I use will probably be loose. The intention here is that I can mount my blaster and simply turn the stand around to view the blaster from opposite side (without the plaque then being upside down). Anyway enough with the initial rambling. Any thoughts or suggestions, as always, are most welcome. Here are the concept sketches so far:- And here is the 3D render for versions 2 and 3: -
