  1. #2: 07/21/2023 and 07/23/2023 – Anime Messe Babelsberg / Germany. On Friday, 21st and Sunday, 23rd of July I had my second Troop in the movie park Babelsberg. Together with lovely people from my squad (ESQ – Echo Nova Squad / German Garrison), I trooped for two of three days at the Anime Messe Babelsberg (Anime fair). Together with lovely people from Rebel Legion, Saxony Outpost, and Star Wars Dinner Berlin. This event was also an awesome experience. On Friday we were only three and did a recon mission, checked the area, organized the props in the tent, and trooped. On Sunday we were more people and it was so much fun. Day one. Reconnaissance squad. Good thing we had a Sith Lord – SL 21096 to back us up. My personal tour guide. Darth Revan showed me some ancient Sith artifacts. Our base camp … Troopers gotta lunch. Hanging around with Marco from Star Wars Dinner Berlin. And ready for the next patrol. Looking forward to the next Troop.

  2. Greetings everyone I’ve currently costume ROTJ Fett with UKG. Because if the weather I’m looking into purchasing a TK made by R/S that was cleared by UKG however for trooping on rainy days, I’m a bit taller Than the trooper selling the TK and hoping there are not to many gaps. Especially at the knees I’m due to try it in next week so fingers crossed I can adjust to fit. I know that past clearance is no guarantee of future clearance so in for a penny in for a pound

  6. Hi folks. This is Mike from 850 armor works. For the past month or so, we have been working on bringing the new super commando to life. We're at the cusp of full launch now. The few parts that will be vacuum formed, the final molds are in progress now and will be 100% ready within a week. The majority of the suit is being resin printed for maximum detail and ease of finishing. I've been through all the prototype printing and ran all the parts for the first round of production printing. This project started with the helmet. Six different helmet models were purchased and only two made the cut to bother printing. The first was nxt3d then Big Fred's customs. Initially, the nxt3d was great. It was missing a few things to turn it into THE helmet. Big Fred's was next. The initial print was great. Perfect set up. It does seem a bit small. For my production version, I increased the overall scale a small amount then widened it slightly. Either one is probably fine. Pictures of it later. If you want to print all your own, big Fred's customs is the set to use. It's excellent. This initial post is from my phone and a bit of a pain to do. I'd rather do it from a computer. We were able to finish the chest molds late this afternoon and did a quick test assembly. This is with the standard big Fred's helmet. Collecting and organizing parts for the first test run Jetpack...love this thing Helmet comparison. Dark gray modified, light gray standard big Fred's. More pictures later Hopefully this link works for all the pictures uploaded so far. I'll post more when I have time at a computer and as the final build progresses. https://mglover54.imgbb.com/?list=images&sort=date_desc&page=2&params_hidden[userid]=1sR95M&params_hidden[from]=user&seek=MnqvJ5f

  7. Hello troopers, I wanted to formally introduce myself and use this post as a platform to gather as much additional information as I can while I embark this new journey that I’m incredibly passionate about. A little background: Recently, I traveled from New York City to San Diego Comic Con where I had the privilege of stumbling upon some amazing people at a 501st Legion booth. I needed little convincing as I have some cosplay experience and the ambition to pursue a Stormtrooper outfit prior to meeting the Legion. Since then, I’ve been digging through the web of 501st & FISD to acclimate myself with the process and learn as much as I can. I’m incredibly new to this whole experience and would really like to dive in to putting myself in a position where I have a good understanding about those first initial steps of buying a kit, putting it together, etc. So hello again! I look forward to any input provided for a someone really new to all of this. And I’ll do my best to provide any clarity on any uncertainties. You will hear from me soon, Santana

  10. I was working with the thigh armor last night, but I couldn't resist the temptation to do a full test fit of the leg armor. I hadn't settled on where exactly to position to the knee armor, so what is in the photo is not final, and I still need to work on the final positioning of the thigh armor. Nevertheless, this did show the areas that still need trimming in consideration of what will be overlapped when glued together. Much of this excess is in the knee area, as can probably be seen in the photo with the top of the lower leg armor and the bottom of the thigh armor. At this point, the lower leg armor is ready to have the final bit of trimming and then gluing! One side of the lower leg armor will be glued (the outer side), whereas the other side (interior side) will have velcro to bring that part together. My legs are a bit too big to fit into the lower leg armor without this arrangement. I am going to go out and buy the rare earth magnets today to facilitate the gluing process. I'll also buy some sort of putty to hide the seams created in gluing the pieces together (recommendations welcome).

  15. Hello Santana, Lots of information on these forums, but don’t feel too overwhelmed the links provided previously are excellent at getting you going. Whatever you do be sure to research the armors and vendors that are vetted before just buying anything online. There are definitely reasons these resources exist to help make the process easier for everyone. Looking forward to your decision and progress! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  17. Greetings Santana! It’s fantastic to hear that we have another trooper in the making with you and awesome that you got to meet some Legion members at SDCC! Have you decided yet on which particular stormtrooper variant you may go with? You’ll also then need to decide on a particular armor vendor to buy from, and the link that Glen posted includes this specific thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/

  19. That is how I do mine, they fit a little better that way too. You may find once wearing for a while you may have to modify/heat expand a little as they can dig in on the side of the ankle, see how you go.

  20. Trimmed the bottom of the shins and it looks pretty good. Since the RS kit has identical shins I tried to trim them both to have the outer part a the shin a tad longer. Hope this looks alright! The right shin Front: Back: The left shin Front: Back: Still have to do the back cover strip for the left shin as I had to trim more to make it take shape. Thanks!

  21. I think I did about 3 times over with a little tiny hole I filled, a length like yours may take a little more time, but the work is definitely paying off as it’s looking much better. Just keep applying thin layers and sanding down until it’s right where you want at which point using something like Novus 1-2-3 can polish it up much better! Keep up the good work! 26. Hi Paolo! I’m super late to the party, but as others have already said, welcome to FISD! You’re absolutely in the right place for all this shiny white armor related, and this is an excellent community that will support you along your journey! I myself took three years to finish my build, due to various life challenges, but all along the way I had Troopers helping and encouraging me. It’s great that you’re going with an ANH stunt. Have you already decided on your armor maker? Apologies if I’ve missed a build thread of yours in which you mention that. In case it can be of help to you, below is a link to a resource thread I initially compiled for my own reference while building. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/49412-all-in-one-tk-anh-stunt-index-of-resources-by-maskedvengeance/

  30. Greetings all, It gives me great pleasure to announce the newest CRL for FISD and the Legion! The Artillery Stormtrooper as seen in the series The Mandalorian today has the green light form the LMO office and is live and ready to use. I would like to thank Honeymustard TK-22540 (Logan Hole) of the Wisconsin Garrison for his epic work and research and assistance is helping us bring this CRL to fruition. 32. I generally agree. I think it should specify that they are not rubber gloves for L1 and proper ones as shown/described should be L2 and up.

  33. I think its well overdue that we update the image for the gloves on this CRL. Currently it shows ANH style rubber gloves where we know they wore TFA style gloves albeit all black with black stitching. Options for language update. If updating the image, I also believe we should eliminate the rubber gloves language from basic, and just leave Nomex style. (they are closer to the correct style than rubber. If this change is made we bring the correct style glove into EI and remove level 3, or we simply don't have a lvl 2 and leave correct gloves at lvl 3 The other option is to only have the correct gloves at basic removing lvl 2 and 3 from this section, as we do in other CRL's like the TFA, TLJ These gloves are readily available and on our Vendors list. Current CRL Black in color, made of either rubber, Nomex, leather, or leather-like material, with no visible straps or logos/designs. The fingers are enclosed, non-textured. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Gloves shall not be made of rubber. OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): The base material of the gloves will be a black synthetic material similar to Lycra, Spandex, Elastane, or Nylon. Palms of gloves shall be shiny black fabric or leather or leather-like material. On the index finger shall be a stitched piece of fabric made from the same material as the hand's underside that while stitched to the finger has one cutout towards the end of the finger that reveals the netted material underneath. Gloves shall have the correct leather pattern along the fingers/palm. Current Image New Image to be added
