Hello, I am an approved member of the 501st with two approved kits. I purchased some WTF armor and am working towards basic approval. My brother is a GML helping me get it all together. I look forward to joining armored members!

It's been quite the hiatus on this build, what with one thing and another... I am looking to make some serious progress on this build this coming week. Here's a pic of my boy just mucking around wearing bits while watching TV... (I'm really happy with it) Then it'll be moving on with the rest of the kit.

I finally reached the point where I felt comfortable painting some of the armor pieces! I decided to use Krylon satin white for the armor, and I was a bit overzealous with the paint as I was only able to complete 2 coats by the time I got to the bottom of the can. Fortunately, the paint is pretty cheap! I was able to paint (you guessed it) the chest, back, front and rear torso, and the bottom piece. I'll buy more paint today to continue the process. I may stop after 3 coats, but I won't be surprised if a 4th coat is needed. After that, I will follow up with a satin clear coat and go from there.

Looking good, side and back photos would be great.

Glad to have you here Kyra! What a joy of having a GML with you for the build! I'm sure that all the knowledge is up to date, but just in case wouldn't it be nice to have a build thread started? It is not a must but when building a kit yourself, it is so much easier to do Expert Infantry'/Centurion things straight from the start! Your armor will look mint either way though I'm sure of it

Got the knee ammo belt on! I’ll probably tackle the sugru on the other knee soon, while I work on the belt and strapping.
