They can have their moment, in my state TKs get more high fives and cuddles than the NotVaders, and that’s all that matters [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

I fired shots back earlier today, but lets remember, this is all in good fun, and everyone commenting, please be respectful on social meadia etc. They can have a joke about being able to sit, we will soon have a CRL that also easily allows that in the Imperial Commando. All our costumes are also In universe, none are made up like the Tie reserve so let them have their fun and moment of artificial glory that was a joke by the way. What can we do to increase numbers other than creating something that doesn't exist. Easy, lets focus on building our new Imperial Commando CRL to assist in getting members more easily on their journey to approval. usually we wait for a builder, but nothing is stopping us from writing the descriptive side of this CRL and gathering everything we have and know, to putting those pieces together. If we get that down and publish the skeleton on the forums in the new area, we are guiding our members to an easier build. We are also 3 photos away from Pyre going to the LMO's and bang that's another approval and CRL to inspire others. Lets get it done and keep having fun. Don't take this rivalry be a set back, lets use it to build momentum and lets keep pushing The 1500. This months catch cry to start with the Newsletter is The 1500 Strength in numbers! Kind of ironic actually but lets go for it. We got this FISD we got this.3 points

Got a few of the boys together to make a lil Western featuring scouts on a patrol that goes horribly wrong. Spoiler alert: the TKs save the day (obviously)!3 points

Well I can say on my first troop that I stepped away for a few seconds from the photo area to stretch my back and someone had to come and call me back because someone insisted the stormtrooper appear in the photo with him so I was kinda pumped by that! Bart2 points

TIE reserve. That’s the reason. One of the most cost-effective ways to get into the Legion. But in reality I’m sure there are a myriad of reasons. Old guard TKs retiring, new TV shows bringing new fun kits in other detachments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Stormtroopers Are No Longer Largest Approved Legion Member Costume FISD has been the largest detachment in the legion, with Stormtroopers being the most approved legion costume, unfortunately we have for the first time lost this position to JRS who have overtaken us by 2. There has been a steady decline in approved Stormtrooper costumes in the legion, for many years we would be around 20% of all approved legion costumes, now we are siting at @ 16%. Take a look back to March 2020 and we had 18.84% approved Stormtroopes in the legion, seeing a loss of @ 200 Stormtroopers compared to today. And back to August 2018 seeing FISD with 21.45% of all approved legion costumes It is sad day for FISD1 point

James, I just opened my Denuo Novo box for the first time in a long time today. I'll get to work.1 point

I do our roster maintenance a couple of times a year. Feedback from legion is several detachments do not do their maintenance remove retired members and adjusting their access. I wonder when the JRS roster was actually maintained last?? They could be living a false dream if it hasnt been touched in a few years. Its a monumental task to for the record. I spend at least 5 hours each time I update ours, not fun, so I understand when dets don't do it.1 point

Hi Kris, and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Well Kris, first of all, I would like to congratulate you, because your armor is awesome. You are a very good example that no one is too tall or too short to be a Stormtrooper. Here are a few suggestions to make your armor "Shine Bright". A suggestion we frequently make is the placement of the ears. The CRL states that "Ideally, placement of ears (and screws) should closely follow the rear angle of the trap above them". Yours are not far from their ideal position. That's why we leave it as a suggestion. Reference images Well, it's not the first time we've seen a helmet with this kind of damage.... However, most helmets, have that area more or less smooth. You can try pushing from the inside of the helmet to see if that bump is fixed. If not, you can try gluing a piece of ABS inside the helmet to try to fix the bump. Reference images Your shoulder bridges are too "detached" from the armor. Maybe by placing the white elastic further back you can fix it. Reference images Your TD is almost perfect. We think it is a little high (very, very little) compared to the belt. You can try " unrolling" the clips a little bit. Also the control panel area will be in a better position. Reference image You can trim the button panel a little so that the notch is visible. Reference images *************************************************** Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Nothing to add here. Congratulations for the new badge that you can see under your name.1 point

Having bought that one, it’s very small…very small. Also the shiny area rubs off very easily. You’re better off getting some shiny shorts from Teresa1 point

Nice job on this so far, Daniel! You have been given some great advice so far, but if I could add a couple of things to cosider: The cod seems to be a bit long and probably could use at least an inch or so taken off the top. This would be a good start in giving you the space between it and tops of the thighs. As it looks now with the cod so close to/overlapping the tops of the thighs you would more than likely have difficulty walking as they would be constantly rubbing together. Note in the 2 reference images how much of a gap there is on all sides of the cod (and the distance between the tops of the thighs and the belt), so for comfort, mobility and closer screen accuracy trimming the tops may be an option. Here is a close up of Justin's @TheRascalKing Jimmi build where he got it spot-on. Larger photos of the complete look can be found here. Keep plugging away, sir, and keep those photos and questions rolling in. Looking forward to seeing your progress!1 point

I always like seeing another Badlands member here and can hardly wait until you are finished and trooping with the other Sask TKs! Bart1 point

Always great to get hands on help, looks like you are in good hands. Your images are quite small so hard to see much details, it does appear though your thighs may be hitting the cod, can also see a gap between your chest plate and chest. Many have to remove extra material from the ab/back section as it shows on the sides.1 point

A little late following up on this, but my HWT was approved in early May. Very pleased with the final outcome. Thank you all for your feedback and support!1 point

Yes I had to trim down my barrel so it didn't stick out over the sides. Great progress!1 point

Troop 21 JDRF Walk for the Cure Waterloo , Ontario June 4, 2023 This was a troop that hit close to home in more ways than one. It was in my city, and my daughter has Type 1 diabetes. It felt good to get out there and support a cause close to my heart. We cheered on the walkers and mingled with them before and after the walk. Great outdoor troop that was not too hot and there was a breeze to help keep us cool. This was my first troop changing at the car as they had no change rooms for us. Interesting to say the least. Had a passer by help me with my shoulder bridge elastics. He was more than happy to help. After the troop I had a couple of people ask to take pictures, so I put my helmet and gloves back on and obliged.1 point

Also I realized that I miss being a sandy. The only reason I sold my old TD was the AP kit just was honestly so painful for a guy my size to wear. I had to do some serious construction to make it even wearable and every time I moved it restricted and hurt. So I decided to move on from it but now that I have a chance to rebuild one I think I'm going to do it. So this is now a Sandtrooper build BUT I'm going to keep the build thread updated here and keep you guys abreast of how my build is going because as much as I love MEPD it's kind of a dead forum. It's not that the guys don't want to help with builds, it's more that there aren't many people online to help. With this being a more active forum and with me already knowing the differences well enough to just make the changes needed without help on them I'd rather stay here and then peace out after I'm built lol. Thanks guys!1 point

Height = 177cm Weight = 53kg Wow Luca, now I understand why you can sit and do all that stuff you do with your armor on. I´m 185cm and 95kg (and 49 years old, my bones are like recycled ABS), almost can't even put on my helmet. Looking great, Luca!!! Thanks!!!1 point
