  1. Perhaps we also need a cheaper legion entry costume added to our CRL's Stormtrooper: Casual / Behind the scenes

  3. Troop 21 JDRF Walk for the Cure Waterloo , Ontario June 4, 2023 This was a troop that hit close to home in more ways than one. It was in my city, and my daughter has Type 1 diabetes. It felt good to get out there and support a cause close to my heart. We cheered on the walkers and mingled with them before and after the walk. Great outdoor troop that was not too hot and there was a breeze to help keep us cool. This was my first troop changing at the car as they had no change rooms for us. Interesting to say the least. Had a passer by help me with my shoulder bridge elastics. He was more than happy to help. After the troop I had a couple of people ask to take pictures, so I put my helmet and gloves back on and obliged.

  4. Stormtroopers Are No Longer Largest Approved Legion Member Costume FISD has been the largest detachment in the legion, with Stormtroopers being the most approved legion costume, unfortunately we have for the first time lost this position to JRS who have overtaken us by 2. There has been a steady decline in approved Stormtrooper costumes in the legion, for many years we would be around 20% of all approved legion costumes, now we are siting at @ 16%. Take a look back to March 2020 and we had 18.84% approved Stormtroopes in the legion, seeing a loss of @ 200 Stormtroopers compared to today. And back to August 2018 seeing FISD with 21.45% of all approved legion costumes It is sad day for FISD

  5. It's funny, all my life I've wanted to join the 501st, and when I could finally afford the armor, I spent every weekend trimming, fitting, gluing...then I hit a wall, put on some weight, and now my half-finished armor is waiting for me in a closet, judging me. I intend to finish one day, but I can't seem to find the motivation. On the other hand, I've come into a healthy chunk of disposable income over the weekend and I'm debating switching to a different kit. Does anyone have tips for getting back on the horse, or kits that don't feel like they're fighting against you?

  7. Weird Al Concert! What fun!! In the non-uniform pics, I’m the one in the black t-shirt with the Imperial gear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. I had a brown box in a closet for a long time. Just visualize what you want it to look like when done and dive in. The best part is that everyone makes mistakes on the first go. Don't worry about trying to get perfect, just keep moving it forward.

  9. Maybe adding some links to your EI/Centurion & build threads / photos may help illustrate that point ;-)

  10. I'm really skinny as well (177cm/51kg|5'10/113lbs), but with some resizing and padding I've been able to make it not only work, but even look proportional. Once you start building, just open a build thread and we'll be here to help. And some others have already posted some build threads that can help you achieve the correct height for your armor. You got this!

  11. Superhero Scuttle @ Children's Hospital Had fun in spite of miserable weather. I look like an action figure next to a fellow trooper. So, no, I'm not short for a stormtrooper ftr.
