12/11/22 - Subaru of NM 1st Annual Holiday Car Show and Toy Drive 39th for the year, 42nd TK troop As the event name implies, this was a car show troop that was also a toy drive. Each car had to donate a $10-or-more toy as an entry fee and there were a TON of cars. Including one of mine!!! My 2nd car show troop. (I'm doing the hero pose on the left above) My aforementioned car, the blue Suzuki Cappuccino. It's about 3/4 the size of a Miata, right hand drive, Japan import, 3 cylinder kei car. It's hilarious to drive and this is my first time trooping with it. The armor takes up all of the trunk and most of the passenger seat. My buddy Cara was organizing the show and brought her silver Cappo, so I had to wingman. Coffee? Yes plz. Scout troopers take note - TKs are coming for your jobs!!! Leg out drift pose: check! The boss gave this lowrider truck a small adjustment. The traditional pose-with-the-tiny-cars-and-completely-obscure-them photo. and After troop cuddles featuring the Rio Bravo Fire Team. 12/11/22 - Toy Collection for Haven House (2 of 4) 40th for the year, 43rd TK troop We're doing four toy collection events for Haven House. This one was right after the carshow troop. Good times with the fam. Lucas, the small Jedi pictured came out to the first collection the day before and met everyone. When he was told that Vader would be there the next day, he made his mom bring him back. And they brought donuts! And hugs. It was amazing. Lucas was amazing. Mom's building a Dark Rey costume and I told them about Galactic Academy, so hopefully they'll join the family soon. Look sir, donuts! (I had ONE take and no stage direction, so I'm super pleased with how closely this turned out) At the other end of this parking lot was a bunch of mounted officers doing their own outreach event. I had to walk over and get horse selfies. I asked permission and they rewarded me with these SMILES! Bad guys doing good. Good guys doing good! HORSES DOING GOOD!!! We were sympatico in that moment. Bucket list item: Get a horseback riding pic in armor. Someday it'll happen.4 points

Just out of interest I tried to find another helmet with 9 teeth to find the origin/maker and came up empty handed. You may have mixed up the make of the helmet (I see it says Denuo Novo in the specs) But appears it's an Anovos helmet, it's the same one from your first EI TLJ submission "Helmet Maker = Anovos Premium Fiberglass Helmet". You submitted 2 helmets in that application so could be why it had never been noticed before. It's interesting as I've not seen any helmets with 9 teeth prior to this one, may even have been a custom modification. Intriguing to be sure2 points

wow hello. You’re absolutely right and thanks for the catch. I’ll be making the correction on the helmet. I don’t know how that escaped me wow wow wow. It might be a bit. As for the blaster that’s a different story lol as we had this discussion before on the previous approval. I’ll see about painting it white but the actual one I held had a black d ring. Quite a few of them had black or missing D rings. So I’d be inclined to remove it all in all. Since it’s an optional accessory I’m not going to be inclined to change mine and if I did I’d be changing it back as I like this look. I’ll have to think about it and I may just make an extra end cap tab with the all white just to appease this approval. We will see hahaha. Just being honest as I’d like to go with exactly what I hekd2 points

Haha, it was about time The Meme is strong in this one Thanks guys! Thank you! It's got its fair share of weathering and a few cracks, but I love it Well, 38 official troops plus half that unofficially have left their marks, so it's not as shiny as it used to be, but I love the weathering There shouldn't be much, if any overlap in the pictures as I've got a fairly rigid strapping and Biggi double checked, but thanks for the mention. Let's see if the DOs think this needs to be corrected, I hope not, as I'd probably end up with a gap between the two plates... Thanks, Sir Awaiting your feedback! Of course! Here's a clearer picture, hope this helps: Don't mind the angled shot, but this perspective really highlights the ABS paste, so it's easier to spot what I did: the curve correction at the top of the abplate, as well as the former rivet positions Thanks for the overwhelming amount of feedback so far, I'm really happy how excited everyone is2 points

Lookin' GREAT, Luca! You really did a nice job on moving those ab/kidney rivets, brother, but can you post up a detailed/close up photo of the connection? The reason I am requesting this is that since it can be a bit tricky to do, many folks give up at EI... but not you! I would like to show this as an example of what can be done when someone sets their mind to it and goes the extra mile. THANKS! Your present photo Your EI photo (super clear)!2 points

If you display only ONE blaster (instead of a whole collection) I would clearly avoid the pugman version. You will also find more sources for the regular ANH E-11 and (if correctly built) it has a far more realistic appearance and details.2 points

Hi Doggydoc[TK], Thanks on costume choice pick. Well. I really have no budget at all when spending money on a well worth armor kit set. I’m willing to spend what ever cost or amount I need to purchase the kit/accessories and pursue to complete it. Thank you very much for these helpful forums and links. I truly appreciate it a lot. These threads you posted here down below are truly interesting, amazing and very informative. Thank you very much for putting this up and posting it here. I will keep you informed on the build and the process.2 points

Troopers! I want to help out the community and the people that doesn't have the time or have the necessary tools or skills to create a cool Signature banner or have the background of your Action Photo removed, or even if you have a request for a certain Profile picture! I don't know how popular this will be, or what requirements I will need, but we will learn as we go and if it turns out to be popular and it gets too much for me - I'm sure that we can find a few more that are willing to help out! I'm 30 weeks into my 12 week wait for the BlastFX kit... not that I'm impatient. Just really really thought I'd have it by now. Alas. Anyways, I've trooped twice with the Leia Leveller and it has one problem. It hangs TERRIBLY in the holster. It's not nearly this bad with my leg in the way, but it still pokes out a lot. It's unpleasant. In contrast, my (well, like 50% at this point) resin Quest Design hangs like this. It's fine. Good weight and it doesn't poke out. The QD has the original metal folding stock from Joseph, a hollowed out barrel for the little blinky light and some sound, and the metal Blaster Factory grip and trigger. In contrast, the Blaster Factory E11 is as it came aside from paint and the real Hengstler. The weight and weight distribution is unchanged from the factory spec. So I got this - another genuine Stirling folding stock from Joseph. My thought was that it would add more weight to the nose and help the blaster hang better. The Blaster Factory stock is aluminum and doesn't weigh much at all. The Stirling stock weighs a good bit. They're almost identically sized. A slight different bulge or bend here and there, but the bolts line up. I was able to use the original Blaster Factory screws and spacers (seen at the top) to mount the OG stock. And here it is! Looks pretty much identical huh? I was prepared to file, dremel, cut, and slice to make this work but no work was required. Uninstall one, reinstall the other. I also swapped over the greeblies. And now it hangs like this. It's not perfect but it's WAAAYYYY better and doesn't poke out during troops. The extra couple pounds of weight also feels nice in the hand. The folding stock still folds nice and interfaces where it should with the cap. It doesn't snap in, but it doesn't flop around either. I could bend this a bit more and make the fit tighter, but I hardly ever fold it and don't want to affect how it mounts otherwise, so I'm leaving it. This mod was a slam dunk anyway. Maybe 2023 will see this blaster having some electronics...1 point

Maybe... But I think there's just 5 left on the calendar this year. Alas. And thanks The dark horse next to me was the sweetest ever. I stood there next to him for a loooonnng time while waiting for others to take photos and he nuzzled my arm. Both me and his rider were worried about bites, but there were none. Just love and interest while I petted his nose. It was a great moment. I COULD HAVE RIDDEN THAT HORSE!!!! Next horse.1 point

So I am clear, the TLJ had the white rear D ring and the TroS had the Black? I think this will get very confusing as currently the only difference we are stating for TRoS is the Electro Prod. This means we need two complete references for the F11-D with different rear sights and different D rings so effectively an addition to the CRL and clearly stating F11-D TLJ and F11-D TroS. The rear sight is a solid difference between the two. Would also need photos for a fleshed out gallery because the small front end photos make that a hard sell. Considering its only our higher levels, I am less inclined to create confusion as I'd wager members will carry whichever they choose, because those details are so small. There are also variations that appeared across both films of what you mentioned above and we need to steer clear of those and focus on the most common. Things like the Pic rail which is a major stand out difference, was a good addition that separated us one step from the TFA version Armour parts to me are more relevant which we have closed off on but in saying all this, I think we can probably create a separate post down the track after the Holiday period.1 point

Agreed. When trooping (especially if there are a lot of kids present.. of all ages) you will often get asked "Can I hold your gun"?** If you have a rubber blaster you don't have to worry about them dropping it. But, for display purposes I prefer a realistic looking version. ** I personally don't suggest letting anyone hold your weapon. The reason being is that you have no control over where they will point it (or at who) for a photo. I normally say "Lord Vader forbids it" or "It's against Imperial regulations" or something along those lines.1 point

Awesome troops, they look like so much fun! Please, make that happen! Whenever I tried to get one done, the horses were either ponies and therefore too small, or they were scared of our armor1 point

Good luck. Glad to see you get this application in.1 point

At this rate you're going to hit 50 troops within the 19 days of the year we have left! Keep up the awesome work!!!1 point

2022 Reflection My first full year of trooping ended, counting 34 Troops this year. I had so much fun, got my EIB and ended up forming the Chaos Division Fireteam with my Trooper buddies. Thank you to all, who made this year so special! And as long as we still have a few days left in this year, it was finally time to tackle the last big challenge for my ANH Stunt TK. I can sit, kneel, lie down. I got my EIB. What's left? Obviously the one thing still on my to-do list since September last year. Let's see if we can get this done in 2022 as well Centurion Application Well, finally the time has come, and I've submitted my Centurion Application . I'm very happy that I finally had an opportunity to take these pictures and tackle the last modifications with the help of my TK-sister @Swoby. Thank you, sister! Last Modifications One of the modifications I've struggled with the most was my thighs not being a similar shape. The difficulty was, that I had no way of controlling how the back shape of my thigh looked without someone to help me out. Now, with someone to look everything over, I managed to find a good mix between cutting the armor to size and adding padding. Aside from the regular paint and repair work, I had one more challenge: getting the ab and kidney gap to line up. I'd accidentally managed to have an angled cut at the top, so I had to put a filler ABS piece there and fill the curve up with ABS paste. I'm very happy with this one, as you can't even notice it anymore Now, I've still got a few things on my to-do list, but I'll keep those secret as long as my Centurion Application is ongoing. Don't wanna give anyone ideas Enjoy the holidays1 point
