  1. I've been collecting parts for this for a while. Time to start a thread for my pile of tupperwear! The bulk of what I've gathered up so far! 1) Garage Boss drain pan from amazon 2) Pack of Pop It!!! tupperware boxes 3) The Michael's photo box radio thing 4) All the little rubber feet anyone could need in a lifetime 5) A nice set of leather ammo pouches from ebay 6) Pauldrons! Because pauldrons. I prefer the black but the CRL has orange. 7) A rubber DLT-19. 8) Joseph's beautiful Electrobinocs Heh. Unsure about this. Such tupperware. Very plastic. Wow. Also, my wife is eyeing this pile of tupperware. Wants it for the cupboard and says I should just 3D print the boxes. My leather goods. In need of de-whitening and de-chromification. Question: Is this set of pouches approvable??? I ask because I haven't seen the center pouch for the chest on any HWT troops in many submissions, but it's on the CRL images. It's not in the game. I can cut it off, but really like it... Rubber DLT-19. It's really nice. A score from etsy. Back of the pouches are all angled. Gonna need some work. And just to show it off because I like it so much. To do: Everything.

  3. Hello everyone! I am Jonatan Östling from Sweden and I just got approved! A dream has come true! I cannot wait to connect more with the people in the Swedish Garrison and go out on troops, and taking my kit through the higher levels of approval (so you'll see me in the EIB and Centurion request threads)! I was so excited that I spend a few hours at work to create this fun little signature with Obi-Wan in the background! Enjoy!

  4. Correct, I have electronics in pretty much all of my blasters and props. Cord runs up your arm, out the neck and down behind the chest (or to belt pouch( to the Amp A couple of examples You have delay with the static burst anyone so a little from the wireless mic really isn't noticed. I just bought a generic one from Aliexpress. Depends one what other electronics/props I'm using at an event and how long as to whether I use wired or wireless mic.

  5. Hi Mike, How exactly did you apply? Have you been to the UK Garrison forum yet as you would need to follow some steps there. If you've only applied on the 501st site then that is what the issue is. IF you want a bit more of a step by step do feel free to message me but this is a good starting point if you've not: https://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/forum/ucp.php?mode=register https://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/join-us.html

  6. Hey folks, Two steps forward and a little step back. Work in progress - SE-14R Below - I’ve been using Milliput to make modifications. These include: Filling the scope at both ends Significant change to trigger housing Filling in knurling Filling area under rear end cap After doing lots of sanding to get the Milliput blended in, I then applied a light primer coat to see how it’s all looking. You may have noticed that I’m removing the knurling from the muzzle and end cap - this is true to the specific version I’m following. The step back is that I dropped the scope and it cracked. I’ve attempted a repair and hope it will be strong enough. Oh well - onwards and upwards. :-)

  9. Update 6th September 2022 Well 3 months on and I have actually received by replacement WHITE pauldron, now take note of the word WHITE I'm just sitting here stunned over the color mistake, overall the pauldron is better and I don't know if I can be bothered dealing with them any further over wrong color, I'll think over the next few days. What a difference (not just the color) but the finish compared to this piece of poodoo. Maybe some won't mind the ridges and lines but it's definitely not what they show on their website. Still haven't arranged any info in regards to having this one sent back, will see what happens. All I can say is buyer beware, I hope over time they improve and can become a consistent supplier of costumes to the Star Wars community. It does warm the heart to see so many images of people receiving their BBB's of armor, an end is in sight, hang in their peeps, not much longer to go.

  10. At the risk of heading down another OCD rabbit hole I've started reading and thinking about voice options. I think for myself it will be the icomm system and Aker amp. Correct me if I am wrong, but the amp can run an aux for troop chatter off a player if so desired while at the same time amplifying anything I say through the icomm. Correct? I thought I might try having the icomm in the helmet and the amp and mp3 player in the chest just to distribute the weight. My main question is, what is the current thoughts on throat mics? Seems to be a lot of older posts saying they are better, but from what I am searching those posts are at least a year old so what is the current state for a mic either regular or throat mic that I should be considering? I find a ton of mics on Amazon so hard to know which works with the icomm with no fit issues. I will order the icomm in the next day or two and the Aker. For other projects I have tried 2 different mp3 players that were just crap so if there is a decent on out there please point me to it. I might want to use it for other stuff I'm working on too that needs an endless looping ability. Thanks. Bart

  13. That may be the issue then, yea... your GML should be able to sort it, and worst case have you reapply with the costume they approved. Good luck!

  14. Another great option are the vacuum-formed boxes from Jason Hill of Intergalactic Supply! I used a few of his and was very happy with the look over the tupperware. Totally! The key is that they are leather, and you'll just need to black out the stitching. I also recommend using some fake magazine 'shapers' out of balsa wood or dense foam to help them stay looking good. Most of us remove the angled loops on the back and make our own or use snaps to secure them to the belt. Here's my approved Centurion submission with the small pouch on the chest. Just ensure you mount it to the backpack strap or pauldron as low as possible or you'll have trouble turning your head. Interesting... not many people making those. Can I ask where from or can you provide a link? DO NOT use Sharpie anywhere on or near your armor - it can bleed purple that will stain when wet/sweaty. I used a black paint pen. An exciting build ahead! Let us know if you have any questions we can help with and good luck!

  15. Agreed - we should probably do a eBlast on this alone. I knew of several folks who could have easily qualified but have not, and have probably forgotten about it.

  17. Brilliant! I see you opted for the wipes container cylinder that Ardeshir used on his Kenobi pack! Before long I'm going to revive my own HWT build thread. Have fun painting all the treads on those ammo packs; took me sooo long with a fine-tipped sharpie. Or G2 pen; I don't remember what I used anymore.

  21. Hey Mike, welcome and congrats on that beautiful set of armor! Unless you've received feedback and have things to fix, there is NO WAY that the approval process should take more than a month, so I would definitely follow up with your local unit's GML to ensure everything was submitted and received properly. Let us know if you have any questions on the process and good luck!

  23. [23] 20.08.2022 -- 14. Stadtteilfest Kiel Wellsee First time as the organizer for a troop with two friends of mine to accompany me to a local street celebration for kids. Of course the three of us took this as an opportunity to act our age and try out everything on offer for the kids. With a median age of "just over 19" and the enthusiasm of five-year-olds we decided to do some harm to our armor and sit down repeatedly. ... I had to repair six small cracks afterwards, but the fun was worth it. The kids had a lot of fun meeting us and we could barely move without getting drawn into tense debates about who of us was "the realest Star Wars" (I won, which I'm very proud of), requests for pictures and spontaneous hugs. In the end we stayed half an hour longer than anticipated because we couldn't leave before everyone had taken a picture of us and with us, but no-one minded. Aside from some kids that were too enthusiastic we all had a lot of fun and I'm happy my first time organizing a troop went so well. TK-66744 signing off

  24. Hey @revlimiter and @gmrhodes13 -- thank you SO much for the suggestions here. I spent a while last night with the Ultimate Compound and those trouble spots are all but gone. In case anybody else has this issue in the future: I used Meguiar's Ultimate Compound with a microfiber round at first, similar to this. I really wasn't getting anywhere and started to feel disheartened. I eventually switched to plain paper towel which seemed to work a lot better, and gave me more control as to pressure/angle/precision. A small buffing tool would've certainly helped because I had to polish for a LONG time to get this discoloration out. I also probably used more compound that I needed, but it's hard to say. Using it pretty generously definitely seemed to help.

  30. Welcome to the FISD, Mike, and congratulations again on your clearance. Regarding EIB and Centurion, you won’t have a huge amount of changes to make (in my opinion). Probably worth having a little look at some previous RS EIB and Centurion threads to see what changes have been requested and see if your’s might need similar. Once you get your TKID, you’ll be ready to post your EIB thread and get things moving. Best wishes Dan
