The day everyone's been waiting for. Feast your thighs on these bad boys. I got no complaints with definition or detail atm. Need to drill a couple more holes in the forearms but nothing major. Legs are getting pepped atm so should have those and the abs done soon. Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk6 points

Y'ALL it has been a long time since I've trooped in my TK. 2 years and 3500 miles later, I'm back! I didn't get to stay long as I had to another engagement, but I got to chat with so many nice folks and take some pictures. Thank you to the Midwest Garrison for welcoming me to the group. I'm looking forward to future troops!3 points

UPDATE 11th August 2022 Good to see some are getting their emails that kits are shipping and I really hope they've done a good job, I still can't get a response to my pauldron issues, no returned shipping organised, is it really this hard #feelslikeanovostome #noemailresponse I would just say to those receiving kits to have a good look at what you receive, take a look back through this thread as many issues have been mentioned between what we have seen in their images and what the CRL's require, especially those of you going for higher level approval. Let's hope we start seeing some BBB photos soon3 points

It's been a crazy couple of weeks thanks to a massive hail storm and the cleanup afterwards. It's time for my (sorely belated) weekly update! Starting weight: 191 Goal weight: 150 Current weight: On 01 AUG it was 184. As of 08 AUG, it was 181. I've spoken to my family doctor about the medication dosage that caused the initial spike in my weight and he gave me the OK to lower the dose back to what it was before the major weight gain until I can see a specialist. I've got an appointment with the specialist on the 25th of this month, so here's hoping we can get all of this stuff figured out. Until then I'll be continuing with my regular exercise plan, plus some expanded dumbbell workouts. Thanks again, everyone, for the recommendations and the support. Keep up the great work!2 points

Lol. I had an awesome thread in draft, but I let my daughter play Roblox on my computer. When she was done, I came back and realized she closed my pages. Whatever, I'll save my long-winded musings for the other thread. Tonight I had two more prints finish up and one of them was the deciding factor if 3DTK 2.0 was going to continue or get scrapped. Also, I've decided that since this is another 3D print build, unlike last time, I'll actually post print times for everything so people get a better understanding of what they're up against. First, the shoulder bells: Total Time: 24 hours 18 minutes. Simplify3D estimate: 22 hours 32 minutes. Not much to say about these. I'll throw them over with the forearms and keep printing. Monday I posted the picture of the hot glue on the build plate, but totally forgot to mention what I was printing. Well, here it is: Total time: 46 hours 38 minutes. Simplify3d estimate: 38 hours 40 minutes. Abdominal armor is pretty much the sole reason I justified the purchase of the CR-10 Max a year ago. Thus far, I've printed 2 abdominal sections (Shoretrooper and At-ACT driver) in the same manner, as well as full chests and backs for multiple costumes. Nothing beats being able to print these in one piece. However, as you can see from the print, I had 3 layer shifts that kind of complicated matters a bit. Regardless of all the great things I've had to say about these files, I've been wavering on whether or not I want to go through with this build ever since I started it. Essentially, I traded some Mando armor I had lying around for a couple rolls of PETG, so of course, I had to print something and decided this was the thing I'd try. However, the abdominal section is by far the biggest piece, so I told myself that if it turned out bad, I'd cancel this project. Regardless of the layer shift, I was pretty happy about the end result. This is why we print in PETG. If this were PLA it would have snapped so fast. ABS has similar properties, but PETG allows you to work without having to enclose your printer. I might start printing armor in ABS later, but I just haven't felt the need to yet. The fit is pretty much perfect, but those stupid layer lines were still bugging me. So, the last thing I wanted to do is take a couple hours and just see if I could fix those errors. Ultimately, when I went out into the garage, I told myself that if it was looking like it was going to be more effort than it's worth, the build is off and I'm ordering a kit from Denuo Novo. Unfortunately, I was able to fix it. Lol. A little bondo and I guess this means the build continues.2 points

Hi everyone! I'm Jeff, I'm 40 years old and live in The Netherlands. I'll be turning 41 early September and in my birthday weekend, me and my wife will be visiting RS Props in Stockport to both get ANH Stunt Stormtrooper suits made to measure We're both big Star Wars fans and at our wedding this summer, the Dutch Garrison honored us with their presence Words cannot describe how awesome that was. Again a big THANK YOU to all who were there and who helped us to arrange it, you guys rock! We can't wait to get our own TK outfits and join the Legion. For the Empire!1 point

I have a couple of friends who have been trying to create new accounts on whitearmor.net. They are unable to do so, because the Sign Up mechanism appears to be broken. When presented with the pop-up screen that asks for your screen name, password, e-mail, etc., there is a CAPTCHA error window at the bottom left which reads; "This site key is not enabled for the invisible captcha." Even if you complete all the fields, you cannot submit the form because of this. A number of us have tried creating new accounts via the Sign Up button, but to no avail. Confirmed not working on Firefox, Chrome, and Edge on Windows, and Chrome for Android. Hoping this is the correct place to post this.. I'll continue looking for somewhere more appropriate. Thanks!1 point

Hi Michael, I'm working on your review now and in order to continue I'll need you to do me a favor brother. The paint on your teeth needs to be dialed back a bit. As per the CRL for Basic approval, the "Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area". This is actually a very common issue in Anovos Helmets (mine is too) and an easy fix! A non acetone paint remover and a toothpick or two and a few cotton swabs to remove the extra parts at the top. 10-15 minutes of work on this and you will be golden! Reference Images Looking forward to seeing the updated pics so we can get that EI badge under your name, trooper!1 point

Took a stab at painting one of the traps. Haven't done the black lines yet. On the one hand I was proud of myself for getting it to look fairly decent! But the black line is still fairly uneven in spots. Been attempting to use a toothpick dipped in mineral spirits which has helped some. Looks like the trap needs to go up a little in the top left corner. What do you all think? How can I improve this? Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk1 point

Did my mobility cuts and sealed the seams on the bottom of the thigh pieces with ABS paste. Just need the E6000 on the shoulder bell snaps to dry and I will be suiting up for approval photos. So exciting.1 point

once the paste has set you can file/sand into shape might take one or two go's then totally cleanup the shins and add the velco at the back As you can see once you have been through all this the shims still look like they should and the raised portion stays nicely inline with the thighs1 point
